Class of 91 played football we went to state playoffs 2 time when I was in school Jr. Sir. Years. Lost to Lansing lake central Jr. Year then Traver City Sir. Year.

Brings back some good memories.

Thank you for sharing. I am not an alumni but I am doing a bus tour for the new alumni weekend in Brighton in July. I hope I can use some of these sounds and sights. I was in my marching band in 1982 so this brings me back as well.

much better uniforms in those days....recent and current ones do not hold a candle..after-all one of our primary colors is Maroon, not black or the horrid white ones from a few years ago. Bring back ths shakos and dith the piths.

@RKorte1utube Yeah, I remember those "death marches." I hated them. We usually blamed it on the rookies, lol. When I was with the Marching Chips in '91 the football team tied four games (two of those were at home I think) and we didn't know whether to have a "victory march" or a "death march" since it was a tie. We decided a tie is not a win, so we treated it like a loss and marched out with the drum taps.

This was actually recorded before I was even born! I graduated last year, and while the tree itself isn't there anymore (they huddle around a different tree not far from this one), they still do just about everything else the same - same cadence, same cheers (including 'I see a tree!'), enticing the drum major to jump off the rock and leaping when he does jump, singing the fight song the first time through then playing it the 2nd time. Nice to see how rich this tradition is!
