He's musically probably my favorite composer based on his work, but apparently, based on what you detailed, he's certainly not my favorite person.

It's a pity. A lot of my favourite games have music made by him. One of my favourite tracks is Crystal Oasis from Guild Wars 1. The whole deal with Johnny Depp recently has made me want to just toss any allegations out the window. It would be another thing if he's actually found guilty in court. But the stuff with DirectSong, The Northener, and Roland Cloud are really damning

Its kinda weird that you don’t even mention Total Annihilation. Total Annihilation’s soundtrack marks a milestone for video game music, as it is one of the very first (and possibly the literal first) video games to feature an orchestral score. Before Total Annihilation, video game music was purely done using computer soundboards, with no involvement of real life instruments. Total Annihilation changed that, it was the first triple A game that featured a score that was actually played by a real orchestra. And Jeremy Soule was the composer. Its sad that Soule had such an enormous fall from grace, he would be up there amongst the most important video game composers of all time if not for that.

I'm playing the game right now. To be honest I been playing the game for at least almost on my 3rd day right now. I already enjoy playing this game, the only thing is different of what fallout shelter doesn't have is that you can make a choice that will affect the result of the reputation of other people that talk to character that you pick.

You could probably alter the necklace by adding chain attachments that hook together.

I hate to jump to conclusions, but what other conclusion can you jump to? The walls started closing in and Jeremy Soule chugged an invisibility potion and dropped off the face of the Earth.

It’s got to be impossible to fake tank. Taunt, full heavy, and points fully into health. That’s the bare minimum, sure it doesn’t got the fancy skill sets, but it’s there.

The time setting is quiet further (i think so), of Skyrim. The Thalmor from Auridion and the imperials still like "one".

I read the accusation of him by that crazy lady, and sounds like complete lies. I think Jeremy Soule should come back. We need more of his music. Though the kickstarter fiasco was really shty. I don't understand when you have a big fan base to treat them that way. Really bad behaviour.

To any nostalgic fans of the soundtracks he's worked on, please don't feel bad/guilty about listening to the music. Keep listening, keep feeling the nostalgia and don't let his actions ruin your good memories, he's not worth it.

He composed for Harry Potter and Sim City series. A true genius. For me, his masterpiece is The road Most Travelled.

Thank you for bringing me up to speed on the history of this guy. Always admired his work and will continue to do so, but the dude can STAY gone for sure!

Unless he’s convicted, he’s innocent. As it should be. TES6 with him will not be the same. It’s just another reason for me to be doubtful about how good TES6 will be. And to those that feel they can’t listen to his music without it giving you a sour taste in your mouth due to the allegations, you must have a pretty sad life because every person in this world has skeletons in the closet, especially artists.

I've been avoiding learning about this for a long time because his music has literally changed me and enriched my life. That being said, I'm still glad I finally ripped the bandaid off and looked into what the story is. I feel sad, a little angry, very disappointed... I still love the music, but I'm okay with the probable reality that we won't see any more of his work in future Bethesda projects. There are other composers out there that can tickle our brains consensually. Ugh. It is what it is, we may as well just move on and hope for the best. It'll take a little bit of mental reprogramming, but to think one day I'll be able to listen to The Streets of Whiterun again and not be thinking about that creepy ass bullshit. One day. I hope.

A goofy spin off in the style of Fallout Shelter and people are complaining about lore?? It’s a collector castle sim game. It’s not that deep. Personally I’m really enjoying it. Same as I enjoyed fall out shelter way back when. Art style isn’t my cup of tea but the Argonians look like toothless and I love it

Indifferent. The music and ambiance is masterful regardless of any other dramas about ones life. Whether one knows the details or not the music will live on as a masterwork.

I played mobile games as a kid, then when I got my first desktop started going through every RPG game ever, never bothered much with mainstream multiplayers, got into Fallout, Fallout 3 being my introduction, then NV which really hit the mark for me, then ES, Metro, Stalker, etc. I see this game not even as an ES game, I literally just see it as a fantasy medieval-feudalism simulator, and it's fun, a lot like Fallout Shelter in many regards, both of which were entirely designed to be simple, fun, mobile games stemmed from larger games, something to distract myself from this shitty fucking dystopian world I was unlucky enough to be born in. Seeing the level of cluelessness, close-mindedness and even ignorance in the people today, our generation, how much the bullshit of today has damaged our minds, it's made us act like sheep expecting the same out of everything, especially in the video game and movie industry, it's always "mIniMaL eFfOrT!!!1!1" without a second fuckin' thought because people are so used to scrolling from one piece of media to another for hours on end every day, bitch it's good enough as it is, and with updates here and there like they did with Fallout Shelter, it'd probably end up the same as Fallout Shelter. People have blurred the lines too much, people act like they expected this game to come out like a fuckin' mainstream PC game... It's a mobile game, get the over it. I know yes it's just a mobile game by seeing people act like this is a really worrisome sign on my generation as if I didn't have enough worries in the first place, seriously, fuck being born in this period in time. And to be honest, I don't even fucking care or take any of this shit seriously anymore, they're just video games, not a religion.

How did you get into the elder scrolls games?

I think ES:C has about as much bearing on the lore of Elder Scrolls as Fallout Shelter had on the lore of Fallout. That game had characters from Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas appear as dwellers you could have in your vault. Did Sarah Lyons and Confessor Cromwell ever work in a power generator room together? No. It's a mobile game designed to sell microtransactions. I pre-registered for Castles, and got Ulfric Stormcloak as a bonus subject. I don't think I need to tell you the leader of the Stormcloak Rebellion in the 4th Era served in the same castle as Tiber Setpim, founder of the modern Empire in the 2nd Era.

I did back The Northerner back in the day. I was able to successfully download the "sketches" that were released, and I never actually had a problem with DirectSong purchases, though I never tried to buy physical media from them. Once I started questioning the project though, after years and years of delays and missed deadlines, Max Steiner Agency essentially told me if I didn't stop pestering them, they would cancel my pledge, basically "firing me" as a customer. I reached out to Jeremy Soule on Facebook, telling him that MSA was being less than helpful and essentially threatening to boot backers from the project for having the audacity to try to hold them accountable, he basically shrugged and said "What are you going to do?" He wouldn't be the first Kickstarter creator that raised far more money than they wanted and then used that money to fund a lavish lifestyle instead of producing the content they were paid to create, and he won't be the last. It's just a shame that Kickstarter doesn't care once they get their cut and backers have no recourse but to try to shame creators on the Internet in order to hold them accountable or being the long, arduous, and probably fruitless, process of reporting them to states' attorney generals for fraud. At least the music for Elder Scrolls Online is good and apart from a few themes recurring from ESIII-V, they're NOT composed by Jeremy Soule.

Two women, one of whom pursued him and wanted to use him as a stepping stone the other was the typical ambulance chaser type. MeToo is the worst thing to happen to both innocent men, the entire media industry and women who have been actual victims but none of that matters because a bunch of talentless actors, writers, producers, artists etc decided it was a quick way to get money and power regardless of the truth.

Man that's sad... I use to be a big fan of the works he did for TES but I'm not even sure I would listen to this music again. Damn it always the same thing. When will men behave with a bare minimum of respect? F*cking patriarchy.

It's funny that Soule learned the hard way that the driving force behind piracy isn't greed, but bad service.
