I'm gonna have to disagree. Space Marine gets repetitive. 6 missions and you know exactly what's gonna happen. Highly repetitive. Shame, it had potential.

@@Sparrowo51 I completely understand what you mean. There were points where maybe there could have been more variety in enemy arch types. But I still thoroughly enjoyed the game with my best buddy who was educating me in bunch of the lore. To each their own.

It was actually the most fun I’ve had with a game in a very long time regardless if the campaign was only about 10-12 hours long.

@@larrywoolfolk8224 valid point, as I continue to experience all the activities offered, I begin to answer my own questions about being a casual player and what the game has done to bridge the gap. This may be one of my videos that ends up not aging well and that’s okay.

@HowItRolls nah, the video will age well. The other part I forgot to add is that you're the pace setter. I chose to put in the extra work that way the little time I do get to play I can experience everything the game has to offer... except PvP content because that's for a different set of players.

What do you mean by “set a macro” to be honest that’s the first time I’ve ever heard of that. The message I was trying to convey was more of a question. Is bungie making its easier for casual players to be on par with hardcore players and if so to what end? This wasn’t my best writing and will be better in future videos with narrowing down the point.

I hear you. Allow me to be transparent, I don’t think I ever claimed to be a hardcore player. I would encourage you to watch it again and point out where I have in the video. I’m very much casual. I only play with one Hunter that I’ve played for the last ten years. And the light level you see is stock footage from recording. I’m currently 2002. I was hoping the video was coming from a perspective of a casual player (me) which is why the question was raised. Literal question mark in the title. Your input is valid though. And I could definitely work on better communicating the theme of the video and concluding it with a definitive answer. Appreciate you.

I did make mention of the level boost to help accommodate for players light levels in tougher content yes. And it is unfortunate that pools of the community is somewhat gate keeper vibes and a bit sweaty . That’s a valid point.

@@HowItRolls Yeah I understand that you mentioned that but the title of your video means that destiny 2 is not for the average player but the context of your video is about making things earlier in terms of co op engagements!

@@HowItRolls Yeah when I unlocked dual destiny I had to do the work myself because the players I had just left just because I didn't do it fast enough to have it unlocked when they were just AFK for 10 minutes... I just feel like bungie should Have strict rules against players like this before they make contact or the based game in general to be co-op focused... You should never have a game where it's focused on teamwork but you allow players to eliminate other people that's just utterly stupid.. Bungee wants to make money but they don't want to make the community better that's pretty fucked up. Even though review videos for like dual destiny they even say it too that you're not coming on to understand the mechanics right away you might do AA couple of practice runs but the problem with this community they don't believe in practice rounds they want everything to be done in one go.. I just wish bungee was more like daybreak DC universe online toxic players get a 2 strike type of situation 2 strikes you get a restriction on your account 3 strikes can result in a ban. I feel like if bungie was more strict we wouldn't have so much cheaters in the crucible in the first place. Think about what happened about a month ago with trials some streamer was streaming on twitch that he had infinite heavy ammo and bungee didn't do anything about until 4 hours later if he didn't show this on stream bungee would have never did anything...

You are valid. Salvations Edge is a Difficult Raid and even some of the best coordinated teams have stated so. Many casual players may be at a disadvantage if they have a underlying skill set that doesn’t match with those who experience the game from a more thorough play style.

That’s awesome man. Yeah I would like to attempt more raids myself but my clan is pretty laxed and can only really dedicate 2 hours a night to completing one. The Fireteam Finder is a great tool for guys like me. I got to get into more grandmaster stuff as well.

Nice, that’s good to hear. But Grandmaster is capped at 2020 power which unfortunately most of my casual friends are no where near. Maybe we just need to “Get Good.” Did you enjoy playing the Grandmaster?

@@HowItRolls I am like 1970 I got into the grandmaster through a friend. It wasn't bad if they are leaning to people pulling their casual friends through then they are spot on right now.

That strike is 3 years old. I hope it’s easier for you than it used to be. Shields help the player, not the enemy. Look at the AOE when you break a shield with a matching weapon, it’s absurd.

@@josephsmith2417 match game was an extra step that you had to take in preparing for a GM in the past now it's just give everything a little more health. In the past if you didn't bring matching weapons you were going to be there a while just trying to chip away shields.

That’s an excellent take. And it makes sense. As far as crucible the khvostov is nice but I’ve never been into flashy exotic weapons, I’m finding that a Randy’s Throwing Knife with the full auto mod and the kinetic tremors perk is killer in Duos and Control PvP.

The crucible has been bland for all of D2. Bungie was never good at pvp stuff. Only reason Halo was soo good was competitive players and MLG basically forced Bungie to make Halo 3 and Reach playable in a competitive setting by changing so many things.

@@mitchconner2021 That… is actually pretty accurate. PvP hasn’t been the strongest focal point for the game even though crucible seems to be offering different game modes and “labs”play. Even in competitive, there is no clear ranking system to allow for players to progress by playing and beating others in the same skill group. I personally believe it’s because Destiny has so many weapons that have mutilated the meta every season that it’s constantly going through balancing acts to speak to competitive and casual crucible players.

It’s gonna be awesome. Not to mention we get to go back to the Dreadnaught in the third episode. Time to get crazy with it.

I personally didn’t say that my friend. But it does look like this could have been an oversight on Bungies behalf. I want everyone to experience this mission and receive their class item. But again the Fireteam Finder feature could help you to find someone to play with and you can put out a listing yourself on the finder for specifics such as , “mic required” “newbie friendly” stuff like that. But I can understand if that seems a bit overwhelming.

There is a duplication glitch?! I had no idea. After playing it myself, I find it nearly too difficult to do without callouts and both players having a mic. Communication is key in this mission for sure and you aren’t guarantee you’ll get that with Fireteam Finder. But the mission itself when done with the right team is pretty awesome.

With the way Bungie operates it wouldn’t be too far fetched to expect that they may make it available by some other means. Like Xur. But I applaud them for trying something different that’s for sure.

With the way year 11 is being whispered about, it seems that maybe that’s where they are heading. Starting fresh. Unfortunately, remnants of the Witnesses still remain and we won’t truly know until we complete this entire expansion after the episodes. But yeah right now is a good time to be a Destiny player.

You probably just drag the team down, lmao. I've joined many lfgs where they are willing to teach, but those getting taught still need to be competent

I hear what you’re saying but I would argue that the competitive community of Destiny also faces its challenges when it comes to anything concerning PVP. I think It really comes down to this. Bungie has to stick with its guns and give themselves more agency when it comes to the content that’s important to them. It’s starting to make sense why community managers were let go. I see it as a sign that Bungie has taken everything into consideration and it’s time to take the reins of this universe they’ve created.

I think this take is what’s pathetic. Just because lfg is in the game doesn’t make it any more of a guarantee for success in finding the right players to parter with. Get your head out of your ass.

I’m confident someone in the community can help and hey, some things are just second nature and other things may not be as easy as we think. No judgement here.

There’s plenty of cool people in the community but for every cool person you come across there’s a dozen sweats or people clueless about the activities. It’s really hit or miss and one toxic person can be enough to discourage you from even bothering.

No they won't. People want you to know how to do everything otherwise they kick from the fireteam

I'd personally suggest going through Discord or the Destiny 2 group on Facebook first. I've met some great people on there and about 90% are completely nontoxic.

Don’t listen to anyone who will try to tell you there won’t be people willing to help. There’s a bunch of players who are more than willing to show you the ropes, and just as many who would want to learn alongside you.

These are all valid points. As far as the suggestion for matchmaking (which makes it convenient to just find anyone to join up with), I do believe not adding matchmaking was Bungie’s attempt to connect the community in a more intentional way. And for the most part, it’s worked. A reaction video to the Exotic Quest coming soon.

​@HowItRolls I wouldn't say that. Most of the solo player base had clan to play with but they left. The game should've had lfg and legend co op the first year. Not to mention the guided raid bomb. Bungie doesn't care as long as they're getting paid. This was a bait and switch

I agree! It’s almost as if Bungie wanted players to engage more in the activities most of their player base would ignore, connect the community in ways they typically wouldn’t and balance the hell out of Titans to make experiences for other classes just as meaningful. HUNTERS ALL DAY!!! Narratively having everyone contribute in the raid makes sense seeing as it will take everyone to defeat the Witness. But I can understand why this may isolate solo players and achievement hunters.

And why is having everyone do something in a 6 player endgame activity a bad thing

@@whiterose2321 I don’t think it is a bad thing. It think especially for the World’s First Raid attempts as well, it makes sense. These are skilled players competing. It would make sense that each player can contribute .

I have to agree. Bungie did what they felt would intrigue players and offer a refreshing look for what exotic missions could look like.

That’s why I had to put some attention on this unnecessary hate. From what I have heard from my closest Destiny friends, they enjoyed the crap out of it.

That Armor Ornament was the Spectral Displacer Ornament which is a crossover with Dungeons & Dragons. I used the Black Armory Shader . The ornaments specifically is like $20.

Fireteam Finder is a great way to starting making some. Everyone has to start somewhere.
