Dear Sunshine Farm Cat Rescue My name is Sydnee and I am currently a junior at Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA). I will be turning 18 in September and graduate from high school in June 2025. I have an interest in a future career with animals. I have been growing my love of working with animals by caring for my own animals at home. I have experience working with animals both wild and domestic. I have dedicated my time by learning about my pets and their care needs. I have nursed many animals back to health whilst taking care of their habitats. Some examples of animals I have cared for include: The time I noticed our chicken, Fleur was not doing well. She ended up becoming hypothermic. I warmed her up, nursed her back to health and kept her away from the other chickens who were not accepting her back into the flock. Another time, my family found an orphaned squirrel; whose mother and siblings were eaten by a black snake. We named him Ed. He was very attached to me. Ed gave me a reason to write about rescues, because his story inspired me. Though he passed unexpectedly, the time with Ed was extremely influential. I have many more stories of experience to share. I would be grateful to share them with you during an interview. From an early age I was interested in Dr. Pol and his animal care show. He has become my role model over the years. I was even able to meet him person in 2017. I was 12 years old but recall him encouraging me to continue towards my animal care goals. I have developed a keen eye. This talent allows me to notice when my chickens have a problem. I believe I can expand this skill to other animals as well. I am wondering if you have any openings for an internship or job at the rescue. Thank you, sydnee feed bak
