This is the usual but very one-sided view of asthma ignoring pressure points (google for "asthma pressure points"). My chronic asthma was cured by habitually pressing my lips together to relax lung airways by an automatic reflex and also training belly breathing. In time my airways recovered and remodeling corrected.

I feel your pain! I have been very ill with my severe asthma for almost 8 weeks straight now with non stop barking cough, asthma attacks and a lung capacity of about 35%, we just don't know what to do I'm on ventolin, symbicort,Alvesco and intel inhalers and have been on prednisone for 5 weeks and E-mycin and Clarithromycin for about 3 weeks, and the side affects are absolutely terrible! I get the same emptiness feeling as you do after taking the antibiotics, as well as insomnia from the Prednisone. Hope your Asthma improves soon💖🤞

I have asthma as well. It seems to be triggered by stress and effort. Especially stress ...everytime i am awake i think about my breathing , i obsess over it then i have moments when my breathing gets out of control. When i sleep i have no problem , i never woke up so far having an attack. I have symptoms since 10 weeks but i was diagnosed 3 weeks ago. I do not have such bad asthma yet but still feel like this is the dnd of my life. Asthma sucks:(

Did I mention they put me on a pink inhaler. Within that time I’ve been on it my coughing started to improve 80 to 90% I was still having some symptoms but there was a big difference with in a month I had been on it four 6 months . They recently tried to bring me off it 4 spirometry. I was off it a week. Wasn’t off it long enough. My chest was once again feeling sore and hurting. When I ended up going to see the nurse. the spirometry never got done. she didn’t want to risk leaving the Off the inhaler. She said I’ve been to unwell to stop using it. It could become dangerous.

Hope you are ok. My doctor put on the pink inhaler. With in a week my coughing started reduces. I was off it four bout 8 Days because i runout and the chest pain was worst ever chest pains I have ever experienced. My chest pain was in my full chest. I been getting sore chest and chest chest rattling that on and off. I been told the pink inhaler is strong from a pharmacist. I did realise how bad I must be

I don't have Brittle asthma. Yessssssssss I have taken xolair/IGE injections. I only had to have a certain level of IGE in my blood count to be approved. It is expensive but it works! I don't have insurance now so I don't have the luxury of obtaining my injections. I have the mold sensitive asthma, along with many other allergies. There's a new injection on the market now for people with high eosinophils in their blood, to which I have. I just pray that I can get a job with benefits because it's getting worse. I'm a contractor who works seasonal assignments in different cities or states for catastrophes and with the kind of money I make I could afford it, but when you're a contractor your work is not permanent in my field, and you pay for the expenses you have at home and on the road. This becomes very pricey. I pray things get better for you. Right now I'm recovering from a horrible upper respiratory infection which has lingered for 2 months, and the last 3 weeks I've vomited almost every day because if coughing and gagging with the post nasal. I've had 7 sinus polypectomies and the polyps have grown back. Shoot me a message if you need some one to talk to. Xo

I remember my skin been so bad on my hands at point to the Point it was dry and itching and the skin was Coming of my hands they was red. That was long time a go. I suffer with dry skin on my legs and hands. They a skin condition called dermatitis. Apparently a lot of hairdressers suffer with it. I used moisturiser all the time to stop it drying out.

I can sympathise with you. I have difficult to control asthma. One I’m fine the next I can’t walk the length of myself. I feel it’s worse late at night and early morning. X

Hey lovely, I've been an eczema sufferer all my life and later developed asthma. My eczema used to be so bad my body would bleed and clothes stick to me. I did a lot of research and made dietary changes. You can improve your condition. I also spoke to a nutritionist who told me these conditions are to do with inflammation in the gut and they would tackle this problem by healing the gut. I did not get any support from my GP surgery when I said I want to sort out my asthma naturally. They tried to force me to go on steroid inhalers. But I have found a lot of triggers now.(it took me about 6 months). And generally I'm eating healthier. There is hope. You can reduce your symtoms.
