Fun fact: I think this Mickey performer is the exact same one from the last performance done before the COVID shutdown, whom commenters have noted as having the most energy when doing the choreography. You can tell by the way they bring up the right hand before the first burst of fireworks (the beat drop technically), and the way they bring up the four fireworks from the sides just before the light flute section (the some imagination part). If this is right, this is also the first time we ever see this performer do the actual “some imagination” choreography, which looks really good!

It’s actually not the first time someone has fell during Fantasmic. The Evil Queen fell during her part in the villain segment, Dopey fell during the finale no one was hurt during those falls (hopefully)

Without the plan b’s that Disney has in store when something goes wrong, we would not have a Fantasmic at all.

Oh wow, it's neat to see the new effects with the lights on. Good job recording the broken nose of Mara statue. And good work for recording the ride as well. The mist explosion before we enter the room with the orbs is broken! You can hear the machine trying to pump out the mist hit nothing is there.

I thought there was a lift were Mickey would stand when you first see the water screen go up but he just walks off the stage.

Not gonna lie. I actually think it would be a good idea to have the water screens showing the Princesses while the barges are also going by. Like how they did with Ursula back in the day. Remember the Ursula barge would float across the water while she was talking on the water screen at the same time.

I wish they could get deeper whistles and blow them louder and longer. Higher ups would probably flip out though. At my local park, engineers bring their own whistles in.

You can tell this was planned. The crew and cast knew that there would be an issue. Here are some reasons why we know this was planned. 1. 0:40 The lighting towers on the left and right sides of the stage were pre-programmed with alternate scenes. This means all the lighting operator had to do, was to switch to a different bank of presets, to have the lights shine on mickey on the lower lift, instead of the upper lift. 2. 0:26 Alternate fireworks were used. In a standard Fantasmic show, the finale includes a lot of "big" pyrotechnics that go off from behind the mountain. In this video, they had backup pyro installed on the floating barges and used those to shoot vertically up in the air. 3. Mickey was dressed in his sorcerer outfit, instead of the standard outfit, you would see on the lower lift. 4. 0:12 When mickey is lifted into position on the lift, there were extra pyrotechnics here too, to cover the motion of him rising from understage.

When I saw this a few years ago, King Louie was 10 minutes late. A pre-recorded announcement said that there were technical difficulties and the show will continue as soon as conditions allow. The screen moved back together and re-opened 10 minutes later.
