Sparring4(7/31/24)
I feel we did well despite being gassed from both our work the previous day. Personal Critique of myself- I need to move my legs more instead of standing my ground and have confidence in my knowledge of the flow while keeping the pressure. The biggest challenge we face as practitioners is translating the knowledge into real application in the moment. We will continue to improve!

3rd session of sparring! This was an important session to me because it taught us more of the importance of steel practice swords over the synthetics- they are stored in a hot shed and it was a hot day - there was TOO much flex in the blades and it, in my honest opinion, made things much more difficult in terms of accuracy and defense. Second bout of sparring - this occurred earlier in 2024 and was the end of my beloved steel feder. We have plenty of other weapons to choose from though!

First Session in a long time. I wanted to get a lot more fit before actually recording but I think its pertinent and more empowering to show progress especially to anyone interested in getting into martial arts and HEMA.
