I'd take Prometheus and Covenant over this POS any day. I wish I could get those two hours back. This was a movie for people who found the Fast & Furious and MCU franchises too highbrow. So dumb. Not scary. Badly written, paced, and directed. Somehow even worse than Resurrection.

I liked it, but I thought it was about 85% of a great movie. Reminded me of the director’s cut of Donnie Darko. Very odd experience, but the explanation was a bit of a let down.

Love you guys commentary on this movie. I'm siding more with Prab on this. Nicholas was both a positive and a negative. To the point where I was laughing inside. Like, tone it down a bit. But glad Kate and others enjoyed it. Just wasn't hitting for me, even though, like usual, I avoided all trailers and marketing. Had me in the beginning, but at a certain point, I was just like, ok.

There is a reason the film ends on Tashi's expressive face. Kate's wrong. This is Zendaya's film. (Josh and Mike are good, too). And I'm glad there were NO sex scenes in the film. There should NOT have been ANY graphic nudity on the bed(s) at ALL. It was NOT needed.

I could not disagree more with Kate. They should NOT have had sex in the movie. Or nudity in bed. AT ALL! In fact Luca changed the script to put that gay nonsense in it. He should not have been allowed to. And a TEENAGED GIRL at the Top of her Game, who is self-disciplined physically and mentally (she gets into Stanford) would NOT have risked everything (even potentially life and limb) and gone to the hotel room of TWO men she does not even KNOW! The best art rings true. That does Not. The two boys don't even walk her back from the beach in the dark. I know Luca's gay, but does he even Know any women?

I think it's Zendaya's movie. I think the stupid, sordid previews misled people and kept many people from seeing this film. They portrayed Tashi as the "bad guy." People, generally, don't go to movies to see the bad guy. Someone was deliberately sabotaging Zendaya's chances for success with this film. Sad. Truly. And I wish it were a more wholesome vehicle for Zendaya - particularly since this is her first leading role in a major motion picture. That said, the acting from all 3 leads is great, the cinematography is fantastic, and the score keeps us on the edge of our seats in that last scene - of the tennis match. And interestingly, Josh stated in interviews that both guys are in love with Tashi. They are not really "in love" with each other. They love each other as childhood friends who grew up together. And their hug at the end is heartwarming. And lots of male tennis pros grunt during matches. Has absolutely nothing to do with anything "erotic." And the camera ends on Zendaya's expressive face. She is central to the story.

I have to disagree. It's not pretty movie. The look and everything else in it are derivative, generic and cliched with a very, very strong dose of incompetence permeating through every fiber of the filmmaking.

Oh man, it sucks when people “almost” get it. The movie isn’t toothless at all. Had Garland wagged his finger and preached to the audience, he wouldn’t have accomplished what he set out to do: warn us where our approach to being American is leading us. Because had he been so selfish as to actually insert his chosen “team’s” ideology, the other side would refuse to watch at all. So instead he invited all of us dummies to the table. Without placing blame he said: “IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT? BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE YOU’RE HEADED.” And any response along the lines of “b-b-but he didn’t identify the bad guys enough!” is the exact mindset he’s warning us about. If his film fails, it’s because WE are too far gone, not because of a flaw in his filmmaking.

You're a hater. She didn't write this story. She plays a part written by others. Perhaps that's how she is seen by the white men writing the story?

Hmm, I must remember not to watch or listen to any reviews by Matt in the future. It's the second time I watch him review a movie, and I strongly disagree with him both times.

I'm shocked how dumb their take is on this movie, especially Matt's. Not explaining anything politically and in terms of the motivations of combatants is exactly the point! A civil war is the context, not the content of this movie.

Lmao everyone already knows its gonnabbe terrible. Its been nearly 2 decades since the fallout franchise released anything that wasnt a completely half assed lazy piece of trash.

I thought the production value was good, the fallout lore is mostly accurate and the acting was good *BUT* the storyline is just a remix of fallout 3 and where every female character is an absolute girl boss who can throw most men around like a ragdoll and is literally too perfect for the world and the men are all deeply flawed characters who all are borderline on narcissistic villain personas and may have one redeeming quality if they are a main character
