I still say these Warner Bros.- Seven Arts cartoons REALLY benefitted from being restored in high-definition. They look so crisp and colorful now, and they're properly-framed (no more animation cel numbers popping up on the bottom!) But they still did a bit of tampering to the opening titles like they did with other cartoons in that batch; the "Abstract W7" opening sequence "hard cuts" on instead of fading up like it's supposed to, and then a hard-cut to the cartoon's title card. Then at 1:24 is a calliope arrangement of the tune that would later be used for "The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour" and "The Merrie Melodies Show," and that 1969 MPAA G-rating screen preceding the last Looney Tunes shorts on theatrical prints!

Essentially a remake of Friz Freleng's earlier cartoon Golden Yeggs (1950), with the Dogfather occupying the same role as Rocky in the earlier cartoon, and Crazylegs Crane taking Daffy Duck's role.

Fatso the Bear and Ranger Willoughby are nearly identical in appearance and personality to Humphrey the Bear and Ranger Woodlore, characters Jack Hannah created at the Walt Disney Studio

This is the last cartoon to feature Hickory, Dickory and Cecil. Doc would now appear in his own series.

3:05, 3:22, 3:40, and 4:41 Fatso did the same panic that Humphrey does.

The opening and closing song is from Mouse Trapped.

2:07, 2:45, 3:04 The same panic that Fatso the Bear did like Humphrey the Bear.🐻
