Calibrating New Backpack Sprayer & Applying Prodiamine 65 Wdg
In this video, I am performing a sprayer calibration on my new Flowzone Cyclone 3 backpack sprayer. The most important step is getting to know your sprayer and performing proper sprayer calibration before you apply any liquid products. I am doing my sprayer calibration using just plain water. I am also doing a combination of speed adjustment and adjusting the PSI.

Putting down pre emergent early
มุมมอง 1.1K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Applying a preemergent herbicide early can be effective, but timing is crucial. Preemergent work by preventing weed seeds from germinating, so applying them too soon can lead to their effectiveness diminishing by the time weeds start to sprout. Ideally, you should apply preemergent before the soil temperatures reach the point where weed seeds typically germinate, which varies by region and weed...

Nice! I do a section of perennial ryegrass in our backyard around our ground deck. Im in Eastern NC , and it always looks great. The rest of the yard i use annual ryegrass as its a large yard and i can let the annual ryegrass check out on its ownonce the heat comes it it dies off fairly quickly without harming the bermuda. The perennial ryegrass last year lasted until late July , and the bermuda suffered. However i found i can go a month or two with good grass in that spot. My question to you is, what fertilizer did you use or supplement to get your perennial ryegrass that dark green before the cold set in? I use a fast release triple 10 , and it doesn't normally get really dark or tiller out until mid winter and then even darker in the spring. ?
I strictly use liquid fertilizer. I started using a product called Feature with great results.
They fly. Do they lay eggs underside leaves. Yes. Hatch eat more veggy plants.
MY PROB. LAY EGG UNDER SIDE OF VEGETABLE LEAVES. THEY KILL Squash plants.
What is your procedure for washing down the area?
Once a month, take a hose aand lightly spray it down only if it has not rained. 3 times a year, spring summer and fall, I use dish soap in a pump sprayer and spray the area. I come back 15 mins later and wash it down.
👍Really great video. Thank you so much for that🙏. I wish I had seen this before I started my Bermuda lawn😩
I’m starting to second think seeding my lawn with winter rye… My Bermuda looks awesome right now but know it’s going to sleep soon. Don’t want my Bermuda struggling to grow back in spring time 😢
Don't second guess yourself. Look for a product called "revolver", it will completely kill off the rye in 2 applications.
my god man, plant some fucking trees in your yard.
How low do you cut it
Right now it's at 0.9 inches. Trying to get to 0.6
@ Thanks for the info. I’m overseeding Bermuda with perennial for winter (I live in Texas), and want my rye to look like a golf course green. Could never get a great answer on how low you can cut perennial.
@lawjilei i started at 1.5 inches and everytime i cut, i go down little by little.
Thanks amigo..Just used Image 2 days ago for the first time & I was one of those people you mentioned that just skimmed over the instructions. Will water today..thanks again👍
loving the outro walk-aways at the end of your videos
Thanks for the videos. Off-topic question. What did you use to cover the pool?
Pool cover from Venor, it's garbage. I don't recommend
@@TheALG thank you!
Terrible idea to dry pour concrete especially for a slab. This will definitely fall apart quickly. You’re going to have a giant disaster to remove in a month or two
Are the Ryobi sprayers hard to get parts for?
You have to send it in for repairs, which will take some time.
We have an quick connect adapter for the flowzone trigger so you can hook up your MIST-PRO (aka Mosquito Sniper System). Let us know if you would like us to send you one! Your connector #2 will screw onto our flowzone connector.
I will give it a try
I bought 2 cyclone 3’s they are awesome
Great video! THANKS BUDDY!🙏
Flys over the mosquito. Good video brother
Great job. I was recently taught to add pool water to the filter pump after you install the cleaned filters.
My pump is self priming, so there is no need for me to do that.
@ My pump is also self priming but its a pool hack to fill the pipes and filter pump with water to speed up the process
Ah makes sense, thanks for sharing
Thanks for keeping the video short and to the point
Am in my pulling grass in between Bermuda grass right now.
Very nice 😁
The heat from the concrete might be part of the seeding issue
Thanks, this makes sense. i did not consider this.
Looks amazing!
I love your videos my brother,I live in Miami Florida and I have empire zoysia grass, and 70 percent of it looks like shit the weed just keep coming up,no matter what I do,and I’m always on top of my lawn,do you have ant suggestions
Take pictures of the weeds and try to identify them. There are a lot of pictures online that may help. Check on how often you are mowing. Most issues tend to happen when warm season lawns are mowed every two weeks. When the weather gets warm, this is prime time for zoysia and bermuda. They love heat and will grow faster as long as they receive irrigation. Since they grow fast, it is important to keep up with the cutting. You want to mow and reach that point where you are not cutting the green off and exposing the brown. When mowing, you want to cut only a small amount of green at a time and still have green left over.
Enjoyed this video! I live in Southern Indiana and wondered if this would work on my cold tolerant Bermuda Riviera grass?
If you have at least 2 to 3 months of dormant brown bermuda, then yes
Thank you!
We have always had gas mowers, everything else switched to battery. We only check the gas and oil you check. We don’t empty the tank when not using it, check the spark plugs, etc. For our batteries, we keep them in the garage, they are fine in ours.
So we don’t need put down Scott’s winterizer granular fertilizer on lawn?
I wouldn't for bermuda
@@TheALG when you stop use fertilizer on lawn?
For bermuda in my area north GA, i stop in October. You can also gauge it by growth. Once it starts to slow down, and the night time temps are cooler for a few days, this is when I stop.
@@TheALG thanks
The only thing I like about living in western NY is the grass. It’s soft and feels real. Having been on active duty in North and South Carolina I can say their grass is nappy, crappy and plastic. Yikes. Id still rather retire down there though
Nice lawns! Best I've seen outside of a golf club. Thanks for the comparision too.
It’s all I need!! Greatttt idea! Thanks for sharing 😊
I am in Dallas Texas and just laid new bermuda sod any tips on helping it take root and stay green?
Keep watering like crazy and dont use a preemergent until next growing season.
Nextdoor neighbor be like “awe man now I gotta do it” 😂
Do you have to wear protective gear to use dimension? How toxic is it if you get some on you by accident?
You need to wear protection. If you get some on you, it's not going to melt your skin, but that should not be the reason NOT to protect yourself
Will this retrofit work for the EGO Power+ LM2114 21 in. push mower - non-self-propelled?
Not 100% sure
Goodnight bro. I’m a cool season grass guy.
Thank you!
Hello, soil temps in my area has been around 65 to 70 in the last 4 days but 75 today. Do I need to wait until it is constantly below 70 hereafter in order to apply dimension?
@arielstereo5484 you can do put it down or wait till 70 for 3 days straight. I personally would put it down as I rather be early and my split apps will cover me
How do you feel about the revolution compared to the McClane?
Maintenance wise, the revolution wins hands done. Revolution had a rough start at first but it's looking better now.
@@TheALG that’s great to hear because i have had a lot of issue with my McClane. Had it three years and wish i wouldn’t have purchased it
@nicholasthomas3929 the issue with McClane is the lack of support. Your left to try to figure things out. I had leveling issues with the McClane and needed to change the pulleys and bedknife. One of the belts kept slipping and that needed to be fixed. Will probably sell later of just keep it to scalp, not sure yet.
That grass looks so good I thought it was turf
Whats the name of the spray that you use to kill the flies
I believe it's Sevin
Thank you for the best video explanation and to the point for the average user. In addition, you reminded people to calibrate their sprayer… Great job!!!!!!
I also have a warm season grass (Zoysia) here in Md. I got tired of looking at straw grass during the winter so decided to also apply a perennial rye over the Zoysia this Fall. But now I am confused. The Zoysia specifically calls for one fertilizing application in June. That's all for the year. So if I apply Perennial rye and fertilizer in the Fall what affect will the fertilizer have on the Zoysia since the Zoysia is preparing to go to sleep and I am hitting it with a boost of fertilizer?
You are hitting it with a boost but if it's too cold, it won't do anything to the zoysia. Besides fertilization, you also need appropriate temps. Just need sure to kill off the rye early because depending on the type you have, zoysia tends to green up faster.l in the spring.
@@TheALG Why would I specifically buy a perennial grass then "kill it off in the Spring"?
Perennial rye looks better because it gives off a dark green look. Doesn't matter if you use annual rye or Perennial rye, you want to kill it before the bermuda or zoysia wake up. You don't want the rye to compete with your warm season grass. Some would say, let the heat kill the rye but experience shows me that the heat will not kill the rye 100%. Also, Perennial rye will come back if not killed off.
Hello, is your irrigation season ended? I noticed that your account content is great, and I would like to invite you to try our ImoLaza smart irrigation controller. Are you interested?
Pre germination is silly, it’s not faster. It takes 3 days in a bucket or 3 days on the lawn
Maybe if it’s annual grass
Not silly for KBG my guy
People stop the Pre-germinating crap. Just sow seed and give it a top dressing of top soil so there is seed to soil contact, then water water water water......
Yeah, I don't get the point. It's also another theory that contradicts basic seeding practices. We're always told, "the seed needs to be moist, but not wet, or you will suffocate or rot the seed". So yeah, let's soak the seed in water for 5 straight days. The more I follow the online lawn community, the more I realize that most techniques passed around dont have much of a leg to stand on regarding what the best methods are. Keep it simple. Prep the ground, seed, rake it, and water as much as possible.
The most convenient solution to this is Ryobi 18V One+ 1/2 gallon sprayer. It's convenient enough that you can just keep it filled, and pull it out whenever you need it. I mix garlic juice and peppermint oil in mine, and it keeps the mosquitos and raccoons away. Or, clove, cinnamon & peppermint, and you can keep the snakes away when they're looking for a warm place to nest for the winter. I had a backpack system with a Husqvarna attachment on my DeWalt leaf blower, but it just wasn't as convenient as the One+. The convenience of the One+ makes it easier to get out regularly.
