William Carey (1761-1834) : Plodder of India, Worm for God
William Carey was a humble man who built his life on the importance of the Word of God, and gave his life to getting that Word into as many hands and languages as he could. Because of this work, and the impact it has had on the spread of the Gospel, Carey is often known as the "Father of Modern Missions". Would we, like Carey, devote our lives and our hands to seeing the Gospel transform places and people across the World?

Such a powerful and moving sermon! I can personally testify to the impact of William Carey's work, which led to the salvation of my grandmother's family on my mother's side, all the way on the western side of the country. His work has far outlived him, inspiring and raising up local servants of God who have been instrumental in spreading the gospel to millions across the country. Let us continue to uphold India in our daily prayers, asking God to use His people to reach those who have yet to hear His name.

I'm so -proud- humble to be the first commenter on this video. I liked how there are four steps we are supposed to take: sin, repent, grow, GO! Unfortunately, it seems like most people get stuck after step 1.

Paul was aware that there were individuals in the church that were being contentious and playing the game of one-upmanship against each other. It is regarding this issue to which he writes. The solution he provides is that each individual in the church would be better off if he/she practiced humility and treated one another with deference. Paul is not referring to anyone's particular choice of vocation. My brother is a wealthy individual who loves to work in finance and the money he makes is very good. He goes on vacation and enjoys much nicer accommodations than I would with my salary. By contrast, I don't like finance/banking. I don't care if I stay in a five-star hotel because for me the difference between that and a three-star hotel isn't worth working in a field I dislike. When my brother is with me he doesn't play one-upmanship with me. He treats me with deference, as an older sister yes, but especially as a fellow believer. I in turn don't act like I'm super-spiritual just because I live on a middle-class salary and chose a lesser-paying occupation. Neither of our occupations have any spiritual merit. It is our attitude towards each other that is important.

-- As far as I'm concerned, if you can't answer all of the following basic questions about Critical Race Theory correctly, you really don't know enough about it to have an intelligent opinion on the subject. In one sentence, what is Critical Race Theory? What problem did Derrick Bell, Alan Freeman and other legal scholars wrestle with in the 1970s that eventually led to the founding of the Critical Race Theory movement? How did the Godfather of Critical Race Theory shatter the shining image of a celebrated Supreme Court civil rights ruling? What is the Interest-Convergence Dilemma? What was “The Alternative Course?” Name three of the founders of the Critical Race Theory movement? Who coined the term "Critical Race Theory" and what did it mean? Is Critical Race Theory a noun or a verb? Name one of the key tenets of Critical Race Theory? Is race biologically real, or is race a social construct? Is racism a normal feature of society? Is racism embedded within systems and institutions, like the legal system, that replicate racial inequality? Is racism confined to a few “bad apples?” Is racism codified in law, embedded in structures, and woven into public policy? Why does Critical Race Theory reject claims of meritocracy or “colorblindness?” Does the systemic nature of racism bear primary responsibility for reproducing racial inequality? Are people’s everyday lives relevant to scholarship? Can legal scholarship be neutral and objective? What is the goal of the Critical Race Theory movement? Who are the faces at the bottom of the well? Who are the Space Traders? What are silent covenants? How did you do?

I approach god as a figment of other people's imagination. This particular being called god is being used as a tool to justify discrimination against minority groups and to create/reinforce a social caste system where those with majority privilege are elevated above all others not based on the content of their character or even their deeds, but merely by their right of birth. Who even cares what happens after one dies if one is treated like garbage by religious authorities during the course of their lives? Oh, and I was searching for something else when this lame church video popped up. Stop using popular tags to get people to look at your boring outdated sermons. There's a reason why more and more people such as myself are identifying as irreligious and not going to church, and as long as people's concerns are being ignored and social conservative ideologies and causes are being promoted above all else within their walls, this trend will continue. Either cling to your sinking ship or do something to right the damn course.
