2007-2011 GMC YUKON, CHEVY TAHOE, SUBURBAN no oil pressure fix.
Replacing the oil pressure sensor worked for my situation, it is definitely recommended to check your oil pressure by gauge to verify any low oil pressure situation. Thanks for watching... um.

GM Power Seat Stuck in forward or back position

Trick to move seat if power is inoperable.
I'm about to go out and try this because I am currently the only one who can drive my Tahoe right now, and I need to take it in to get the wheels balanced and can't because none of the guys there can fit behind the wheel 🤣🤣 Hopefully it'll work and I can bring it to them tomorrow before we have more jobs to do 😅😊
I changed that out on my 2008 chevy silverado 5.3 but it didn't fix the problem. Next step is to replace the o-rings.
So this didn’t fully work for mine. Well let me explain,Mine was completely stuck, I would hear the motor kick in and it would move about 1/8 inch back and forward. I check all the fuse, cables, the tracks and everything all the videos and blogs said to check. But still no luck. So what I did I went to my local picknpull/junkyard, etc.. and find the same model (2002 Escalade) and use the method show in this video to move the seat forward and back to remove the seat (it was about $46)and came back home got my sawzall with a diablo medium metal blade it was about $17 and removed the seat cushion and after that use the saw to cut out the olde seat frame out enough to be able to take out the 4 bolts. After that put the new/use one in and bolted it down. Hope this helps someone Tip: check the seat work before you remove it and buy from what ever parts place you go to (using the method show in the video) Tip 2: is you can find a good in shape seat in the junk yard just take the frame and use your better seat cushion and seat back (seat back has 3 bolts 1 in one side and 2 in the other ) And Good luck Just little bit of hard work and patience
Does it need to be reprogrammed or just replaced?
Replaced no program needed
Ok. I'll try this next. Thanks
Thanks, it worked for me, found the cables of motor to be used, 18v drill battery , 16awg cable , plugged everything except one to be used as a contact switch
My Tahoe does that every time its time for an oil change! Fresh oil and pressure comes up on gauge.
Mine stopped in backwards
5:03 startup
The problem is,that it ain't a Ford! Lol
Just bought a 2008 Yukon with 6.2 same thing every time I come to a stop sign
Dude thank you !! My son has been driving my avalanche with his knees to his chest and tonight I fixed it in 10 minutes with your battery trick !! Thanks again ! 😂
Thanks
The same thing happened to me about a 2013 avalanche test drive was awesome started driving home lost oil pressure but as soon as I would shut it off and turn it back on oil pressure came back which made me wonder if it was the gauge because I had no motor noise whatsoever so when I got home I tore into it replace the oil pump pickup tube and oil sending unit and screen never cured my problem so I knew that there was something else wrong so today I hooked up an external oil pressure gauge wow was I surprised cold start I had 80 lb of oil pressure when it warmed up I had 59 lb of oil pressure and I did put the high volume oil pump in with the high-volume tension spring now I think I got too much oil pressure but before I change the spring I need to know why that differs from the gauge inside my car so if any of you are having this problem hook up an external oil pressure gauge before you do any work to it..
Could you please tell me the solution to this issue? I have the same problem
Worked like a champ thanks.. is there a way to jump it were it raising the bottom seat vertical? Mine will like bump then stop
There should be other motors that control the other movements its just a process of finding them or look online for an exploded seat frame picture that'll help locate them.
Gonna try this in the morning!!! 😊
11 Yukon Denali doing same thing
I put all the new windshield on it and I have that problem in another car, the seat works very well in mine, it doesn't.
Hello Dirtbiketay, I have a 2006 Trailblazer that has a stuck seat and does not move forward or backward. I have already watched your video many times, which I greatly appreciate, but I am not good at electricity in cars but I want to solve my problem. I don't understand in the video how you solve the problem, you just disconnect the rear harness and reconnect it and that's it? Or do you use the drill battery to solve the problem? I hope you can help me, they already told me in three workshops that I have to buy another seat. thank you so much. Pepe Garcia
THANK YOU!!! We just bought an ‘03 6.6L 2500HD and had the same issue. This solved our problem and saved us ~$1k. What a creative solution!
My drivers side moves back and forth. But, don't go up and down. Ans passage there's the opposite. It goes up and down but, wont go side to side. Its so annoying. ..
Thanks for the tip, helped a lot
Thank u. Worked for me
Thanks for the info just did that trick with my Tahoe and it actually worked... thanks again!!!
Did you have to plug the black and red wires to the negative and positive on the battery at the same time? I don’t really do electronic but I’m having this issue where my seat moves all ways but won’t go back and now it’s stuck on the steering wheel lol
It's 4.8 right?
5.3 sending units are all the same tho, they go bad often
@@nissmopwer It's 4 gears and it's 2011, how come?
Will this work on a 2000 Lincoln town car? I hear grinding but, won't go back after my wife drove it. The switches are located at the door, not the actual seat.
Good video bud 👍
Just did this with a 2005 tahoe and a Ryobi 18 volt battery. I was worried about using an 18 volt battery on 12 volt electronics. But now we can get in and drive comfortably! I'm guessing the proper fix is a new control panel? Hooked up to the battery, the seat goes forward and back. For now its unplugged so we don't forget and get stuck again. Thanks for the help!

This was exactly what I needed. Thanks for sharing!

6.2? Same prob in a 6.2 2008
Most likely oil sending units on these years are prone to going out
Why didn’t you show how you jumped it. That is THE important step and you didn’t show it .
Typical U tube U graduate
2017 yukon same problem.
Seat track sensor, drivers side track, unplug and loop the wires, done
Bro you safe my life thanks Soo much

I'll leave this here if it helps anyone. My power tilt on driver seat of my GMC Terrain wasn't working. The fix is to test the switches on the side of the seat. That can be accomplished by prying off the side cover and checking continuity on the switch bar. That bar of switches is very cheap, under $20.00 so it might be the first to replace. The power tilt is in the back of the seat. You have to remove the hard plastic cover on the back of the seat. That will give you access to the motor for the power tilt. If you can find or rig up a 12Volt battery you can connect it to the positive and negative leads on the motor. This way you can test the motor independently of any wiring or switches. In fact you can use this technique to check all the motors (forward/backward/tilt). It turned out in my case it was the switch. The motor tested fine. Search driver side GMC Terrain switch and you can find it for cheap on the web. Hopefully this info helps someone else.
Can you do this for the back part of the seat? mine will recline back but won’t come back up!!
The switch on my old vehicle was borked, and is no longer sold online! This video saved my butt. I was about to drop over 300 just for a dumb switch. THANK YOU
I know this old but you just made my 6’3” ass a TON more comfortable in his truck.
Will this work with any 12v battery? Mine doesn’t have slots like yours it’s just a flat metal surface
Great idea on the power tool battery, worked great.
Thanks
My dang knee caps are hitting the dash someone short drove my Burb now wont go back and it a trip when you go back on the button seat moves fwd Update took the wire off the front of the seat to the motor than plug back in started working again
It worked! Quick and easy , thank you so much.
What type often pressures switch
Same thang happened to me, just bought a 07 subburban and bam low oil pressure.
08 avalanche for me
2010 Tahoe brought me here😂
2011 Silverado
Man 2008 Tahoe smh
2011 GMC Yukon Denali😢
Hello, where did u got that tiny filter screen u showed in your video??? Its great video, thanks.
It'll either come with a new one when you buy a new sensor or you can just clean off the old one if you don't destroy it.
Hey, thanks. Eg
Thank you
Thanks for your video but one advice I will give you is that you can sew the leather seat so it won’t keep breaking 🥰 that’s if you still have the truck
