Sometimes I feel as if the music transports me to the Polish countryside in that unique passivity that the northern region of Europe has, and at the same time there is something sacramental, luminous, elegant and bucolic in each piece of music. My beloved master Kilar was able to unify Slavic folklore, reverie, delicacy and a significant amount of histrionics with lyrical songs. I say that Kilar is an unclassifiable classic-contemporary because he has the rarest component in musicians and that is eclecticism. This interview is pure gold, because who wouldn't want to hear Beethoven, Verdi, Rachmaninoff, Dvörak... etc. talk about their vision of the world, their sensitivity and the way they approach life and art, without a doubt listening to my teacher speak (I had read the interview but this is the most interesting and profound one they did) and it is simply wonderful to notice that his art reflects his erudition and beauty of seeing life, I myself being an artist often feel distant from some colleagues because they forget that the first work of art that must be built is life, that makes it greater and deeper. I loved seeing that I was not wrong in thinking that in the common, in the greatness of God, in the great love for his partner and nature he found his deepest inspiration. Thank you for this gem ✨🙏✨ Kilar is an impressive and invaluable musician but even more so as a human.
