Good honest video right here. Thx. I’m always looking for a better way to put my vanes on flawlessly and thus looks legit. Hey my question is what is your vane set up for TAC? I’m about to build some arrows for my first tac season and I’m curious what you experienced guys are doing. Thx bud and make more videos, this was helpful 👍

Sorry for the delay. There are two ideal arrow shafts for TAC hands down. Victory rip xv Or Black eagle x-impact Those two shafts are the lightest grains per inch and are available is .001 tolerances. In regards to fletching configurations, I use small vanes (bohning x vanes 1.75”)and a four fletch with 3 degree helical. And if you’re going down the rabbit hole, glue in field points are no doubt the best for TAC, as opposed to inserts and threaded field points.

Question: If the top hats are aligned properly, should you see the string resting in the "center of each cam's groove", as opposed the string tending to the outer edge of either cam's groove? My Mathews shows the string resting dead center of the lower cam's groove, but tends to rub the left edge of the upper cam's groove. Thoughts?

Hey! Are you the guy that went bear hunting with Dan in AB this spring? Nice content and hope to see more and more tuning tips from you as your chanel grows. With better sound and video quality your chanel could be on par with the already established ones. Keep on the nice work, the 1 take video shows that you really know your stuff

Yes, that was me hunting with elk shape in may. Thank you very much for the positive feed back. I’m very busy at the moment, but wanted to get some content out to see if there was more demand for advanced archery information. I’m pleased to hear you like the videos and as the videos keep coming, the quality will improve dramatically. My buddy and I have some really entertaining ideas for videos. Stay tuned please for more!

Why is nobody else explaining it like this? I assumed moving the cam to the right would move the string to the right. 🙈 I know what I will do tomorrow... Great content; the intro is way too long for my taste, though.

Haha I’m new to this recording thing. Goat tuff website or Amazon carries the jig as well. Thank for watching.

I ordered one after seeing your short demo on elk shape. Will be interesting to try something new. 4 fletch with heat vanes works well for you with fixed blades? Been using 3 fletch blazers with good results but heard heat vanes were quieter in flight.

Thanks for watching! I think 4 fletch with heat vanes is approximately the same amount of steering as a 3 fletch blazer due to the difference in height profile. I find that even with fixed blades a 4 fletch heat vanes with minimal helical works well. Hope your new jig treat you well, I love mine.
