Hello there! I am a lift enthusiast from the UK, and my main goal for my TH-cam channel is to be able to show people how lifts work and just riding in them!
This channel is mainly going to be informational videos of lifts.
My uploads will not be that regular, I will only upload something if it is worth a upload, Cheers

Very old Evans lift
มุมมอง 4.1Kหลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I ride in a very old probably 1930s Evans lift. Sadly this lift has been modernised and does not have the original controller, but still is a very nice lift. #lift #elevator #evans #transport

Amazing old gated lift
มุมมอง 1.3K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
If this was still original today it would be my favorite lift, but sadly it is not original and has had a mod. There are two lifts in this building one is an 1930/40s Evans lift with the original COP and call buttons, while this one the bigger lift, has sadly had a COP replacement with DMG, very disappointing to see. The other lift (the Evans) will not be uploaded due to all the footage being a...
1960s Express lift machine room
มุมมอง 8199 หลายเดือนก่อน
#lift #elevator #machinery Don't ask me for locations of these places, I will not be giving out locations. In todays video I take a look at a single-speed 1960s Express lift. This is one of the best designs of lift ever made! When I went, I checked the log cards and it hasn't broken down in over 7 months! I hope you enjoy this video of this lift, It did take some lengths just to get this video!...

Nice unit, wonder why they went so close to overspeed, should have gone to 0.75mps instead, leaving a good margin there, or gone to 0.8 as a maximum. But guess any people who trip overspeed will get stuck and need rescue anyway. Will bet that under that car call panel the old Otis one is still there, just missing a button or three to lead the wiring out to the new one. Could have put a blanking plate over the old floor indicators though.
Very nice vintage elevator 👍
4:09: I think the housing of the two relays should'nt shake when activated ... maintenance is your friend 🙂
at least its single speed
Beautiful building!
incredible find mate 👍
(An OLD DMG MOD WOW!!) It's far Better than a Modern DMG Mod.
Very rare these days.
The dumbwaiter at my college has a higher capacity!
Very interesting device.
Interesting how the inside buttons are really high that must be to prevent kids from playing with it
I knew it was only for 2 people...
Selector Sil, italian made very sucess in Portugal , last model was digital, fail sucess

At least one of those contactors are hanging on to dear life, literally. What does it cost to get it properly mounted onto the DIN rail?
They did the control panel upgrade on Friday afternoon and thought they could come back and finish it on Monday. Unfortunately that never happened...
Looks like a TMS 200 to me
Oh yes I've seen this lift in person very interesting!
Great Video
Been in that lift
Wow, very nice old Express lift👍.
I know some individuals that exceed the rated lift capacity just by themselves!

now whats the point of blurring out the sign at the start if you dont blur it out on the thumbnail, heh.
On the thumbnail it'll be harder to see. I was only blurring out the obvious parts of it. If it is at all visible now, I'm not that bothered.
@@TheUnitedLiftChannel i was able to read it entirely (with the exeption of the text in the blue part) and it is a what to do if some is trapped thing, i assume it was blurred out to undisclose the location and the phone number of it, but since the blue part is where the location was, we still cant tell.
I wouldn't never ride in this elevators with anybody else
Just from the capacity I'd only be able to share it with a child. I can't imagine being stuck in this elevator by myself, let alone with another person in there with you.
love the old GAL fixtures
What a beauty, definitely on my visit list
That is a tiny one, I have seen dumb waiters that had a larger floor area.
I'm wondering if it's possible for the lift to be unsync with the floor selector (eg: one or more steps have been missed and the floor selector now indicates a position different than the lift). It's probably very unlikely.
crazy that the elevator itself probably weighs more than the total weight that it's rated to carry.
it such a shame it ended up like this and look at the inside of the cab why? what did everyone do to this old lift
The lift cab is in such a state because of all sorts of liquids that have came from above.
@@TheUnitedLiftChannel oh ok
Haven't seen an H+C with all it's original displays and buttons for ages!
They are quite rare to find nowadays. Very nice to still see one going!
I've just come across your channel I do very enjoy in depth lift videos of the machinery!
Big ass selenium rectifier and a monstrously huge mains tranformer ❤
Nice!
This is a very good and interesting video. I really like it! 1:26 Lester Controls when it gets to the floor you called it from:
Amazing video, really interesting! The selector has exactly what I thought it would have - one side selects the floor, the other side is for direction logic (i.e. if call placed is with-in the 'on' section for one direction, or within the 'off' section for the other. And the mechanical stops on the back that you can unplug and move. By the way, what is the blue wire at the back at 2:28?
Thank you! And to answer your question. The blue wire feeds the single moving contact for the rear set of contacts as shown from 1:25 in the video. It's connected to the third terminal up on the left hand side of the front view
Awesome old lift, new subscriber!
Cheers!
Model is GPS-III, shame they don't use Mitsubishi's own buttons
It is a shame that these don't have there own buttons. But to be honest I prefer these with Dewhurst.
KONE Sigma fixtures. Sadly it’s discontinued and one of the lifts that had these fixtures were modernised by Dewhurst. That was my favourite lift just because of the fixtures. I’ve also subscribed to your channel!
Cheers mate!
Love Mitsubishi lifts. I want to fly from Australia to UK just to ride the Mitsubishi lifts in Canary Wharf. I was lucky enough to be in Mitsubishi lifts in Japan.
Beautiful absolute classic Express lift! Every considered emailing the owner to have a look in the motor room?
Proper classic of a lift it really is! I have not considered emailing the owner to see the Motor Room. I was planning on asking while there, but ended up not doing it. Now you got me thinking of doing it! Cheers mate.
The outer door is imperforated door because in India most of the elevator are imperforated and collapsible
I Despise DMG, They like to Ruin Very Nice Lifts and they even Ruin OLD Lifts and Lifts with Dewhurst Buttons. Very Cheap Mod Made outside the UK.
DMG isn't the best and is sure no where near my favorite. Dewhurst is just so much better then it, and it seems a lot of these very simple quick mods on lifts seem to always use DMG. It seems like them sort of buttons which can easily be fitted. If you've ever looked at a DMG COP you will notice there is normally small outlines of another panel on the main COP. As far as I know they seem to have the COPs pre-made then simply put the buttons on it.
Very Nice Old Express, The Lift gets a Rating of 10/10.
