creating a sci-fi ship diorama entirely from household waste
I'm back with a shorter making of video, showing the process of building the heavy lifter, a ship dedicated to reclaim and lifting large objects. The base is a food spread container, the lifter arms the legs from an old toy crane, the mast, a disposable razor handle, and the canopy was the back of my dad's old alarm clock. I did not capture all of the process, but hopefully this video illuminates a bit how I work.
This piece was exhibited in London in 2022 at the "small is beautiful" exhibition in Kensington.
I would like to continue filming future projects and make more videos, I work on a very casual basis and usually only upload here for people who might be interested in what I do, so for those who do watch and comment, thank you for your comments and interest. you can catch up on all of my projects at on Instagram and my Website:

Turning plastic waste into a sci-fi land speeder - full process
มุมมอง 53K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows the process of making the Ksatria Group Vehicle, a land speeder based around plastic waste and scrap. I took an interesting shape of bottle and added a number of parts from scrap, used electronics, toy parts, scale models and other scrap. The main body and many other parts were found in Scrapstore Bristol. The engine parts were made from tubular scrap and wheel parts and mounte...
Making and filling a scale model skip from scratch.
มุมมอง 1.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
to celebrate the end of 2020 I decided to make a series of skips and fill them with pieces of models from projects that the 2020 pandemic cancelled. Each skip is designed in CAD, laser cut, painted and filled. check out @dreamyoxart on Instagram for more pieces and making ofs.
Turning a Bottlelox security cap into a sci-fi miniature
มุมมอง 3.1K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a full making of video turning a broken Bottlelox security cap into a sci-fi miniature ship. I had the guard and with my Instagram followers, decided that it was a perfect fit for this little 1:32 scale driver. The cockpit is styrene and the rest is all kitbashed from old computer parts, toys and scale models. For more information and enquiries follow @dreamyoxart on Instagram and drop ...
Turning household scrap into a sci-fi miniature - timelapse
มุมมอง 4.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows the full process from start to end of the making of a sci-fi model from home out of trash I had in the house. As the quarantine kept me from the studio I brought the studio home and challenged myself to make a new model from something I didn't find that interesting to start with - in this case a juice carton. I had to improvise with some other elements as I went along, and ende...

Nice build, but have you thought about adding some narration? even voice over? It really helps hold viewers interest. I tend to skip most videos without sound. I did watch most of this to see the final build, but "I" found it tough to go the 10 minutes without sound. Just my opinion, your mileage may vary. Cheers.

If I make any more of these I think I will...these were largely hosted here so I could show a process to link to from my Instagram so wasn't thinking of making them as pure TH-cam vids if you catch my drift. However, I've been very busy over the last year and not able to make much if any work let alone videos, so will consider maybe making some with narration when I'm back

Awesome job! For your ending shots, could you possibly make that segment a bit longer? It seemed a bit too short and didn't really do your build that much justice. (in my humble opinion)

The model you've made is fantastic, however I really think you would benefit from some different editing techniques and definitely your presentation of the model at the end. Some voice over on your process would really elevate the video, and giving the viewer something to really admire at the end, ideally with some good lighting and camera work, would make this video multitudes more enjoyable to watch. Let us see it for more than 5 seconds before the video ends! Do a turntable, show it off! It's incredible! We want to see it!

Thank you, I agree - I'm not much of a film maker and only recorded this as a supplement to my Instagram for those who wanted to see rather than for it to gain any interest on TH-cam - however if people like I'd be happy to do more I just have so little time to make at the moment let alone film and edit! I have to get help editing as it is...
