      I haven't had all experiences with ultimate addons cases. I personally found them quite good, but some phones are more susceptible to vibration damage. The ultimate addons case has lots of rubber in it to reduce shocks but I think with any phone mount, a risk is being taken

  • @bbonnema2

    Please edit. The first 8 minutes were totally unnecessary. YOu iknow you need better light control so pay attention to that. I think you could do a great job but please plan what you are going to say, place the light where needed, arrange what you are going to say and cut out all the extra conversation. This was difficult and frustrating to watch.

    Been using my UA for years, never once has the cable come out, there's also various other mounts available to put it somewhere else away from your clocks, , biggest issue I find is the green teeth that grab the back of the case wear and and can become so loose your phone falls off, part is available to replace tho.

    Cheers for these reviews m8. Converted my Harley sportster to chain drive as I couldn’t get on with the belt drive. I’m looking to fit the scotoiler & it will need a lot of modifications to fit the Harley mainly because the rear sprocket is much bigger then most bikes due to the belt needing bigger sprockets. Been using spray cans to lube the chain & tbh I think it’s very time consuming, expensive, and mucky with more fling off then your getting once the oiler is tuned in. As an aside have you considered using Scotoiler’s red cold weather oil? May perform better in this weather. Thanks again for the reviews. Oiler seems to cut out washing the chain every 10 mins yay for that!

    I did not know that you had to have a special rated helmet to ride with the modular helmets shin bar open in the UK. Here in the USA, at least here in Pennsylvania, you’re not even required to wear helmets which I think is insane.. I actually saw a guy wearing swimming trunks and flip-flops pull into a gas station up to the gas pumps and put gas in his harley.. here in the USA, at 18 years old, you can walk into any motorcycle shop and buy a brand new Hayabusa or GSXR 1000, without ever having been on a motorcycle before without any training or instructions. I sold motorcycles part-time for 17 years. It’s not even required to make sure that The buyer even has a drivers license to sell them a brand new motorcycle.. I have sold motorcycles to buyers that never made it out of the parking lot without crashing a couple times. but, you’ll have that. here in the United States, they really need to revamp the motorcycle licensing procedure to protecting the riders like they do in the UK and Japan.. I remember reading one time that in Japan, a license is so difficult to earn for the beginner, they’re only 4% of people taking the final test pass the first time they take the test.. we need a testing/teaching program like that here in the United States

    • @bikingwithgrantygrant779
      @bikingwithgrantygrant779 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the issue was that I would adjust the chain after the ride but it would become slack on the ride, even though lubed before next ride when the chain was warm. It just kept on having an issue mid ride. Since having a scottoiler I haven't had these issues. Very odd but I totally agree with you, alway adjust when the chain is warm. I have used the Ultimate Addons since 2014 and they have never let me down, except for when I tried a knock off case on there mount. The cases are also 100% waterproof, that is why they so big. They also have charging and headphone ports built in. I have ridden in torrential downpour from Bristol to Middlesbrough without any leakage. As for your mounting problems simply get a ball joint extender or maybe a top clamp bolt replacement mount. Personally I have used the ratchet mount and it worked fine on my phat Harley T Bars, maybe try a wrap of pvc tape around your bars, old school but effective. As for the power cable, well if you run it sensibly and cable tied it to bars with sufficient slack ( there lead is long enough after all ) to turn bars you would have no problem. The Quadlock mount is nice but as an all around system the Ultimate Addons is far superior. Oh finally, yes the screen is thin and scratch able, simple solution leave case on bike and take phone out, its worked fine for me for years.

    • @bikingwithgrantygrant779
      @bikingwithgrantygrant779 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they are a good system for sure. I still like them but if space is an issue on the bars, I found it a little bit too big and would sometimes affect the ability to read the dash for things like oil pressure light. If mounted sideways its a bit awkward getting the keys in but either system is great, depending on the bike. Thanks for your comments, its definitely a good point and always good to have input.

Although 150g heavier than the scorpion adx-1 i reviewed, I think the weight displacement is actually better and less noticeable.
