In 1969 i bought the DW Mod.11 357 with the 6" barrel. I was given the option to purchase the entire kit but i didn't want to stretch my budget. What a blunder i made. I have several weapons but this Dan Wesson is by far my favorite.

Why would you invest in a $90 extended cylinder release on a gun that will NEVER require fast reloads?? And BTW, I had the 6" and 4" versions of the 617. The 6" is WAY too heavy. The 4" balances perfectly. And even if you shoot iron sights, there really is no huge benefit with the extra 2" of barrel. A 4" revolver has plenty of sight radius for precision shots.

Why show your grip and explain it as rest when safety is in the ON position?

generally speaking, can you place a 7" barrel in a 5" 1911 slide, and expect for it to function correctly? ty.

Pro Detroit Tip : A re-usable 12oz paintball nitrous tank can be hosed between the air filter & carb as an actual NOS shot. I saw a guy with this motor kit in Detroit do it. I used to have a 79cc kit on a bike now I use a Bafang mid drive e bike. Awesome build man. Just needs rear suspension.

I think the 4" looks the best. I have the 4, 6, and 8 inch barrels for mine. I want the two inch but I lose interest when the bidding on eBay goes above $300. Great video and display of all the different barrel lengths. Thanks!

So glad I found this video! I've adjusted the spring strength of gate as you showed and have removed carrier. I've previously installed the Palo Verde spring kit & it's made a great improvement. But it STILL won't load properly. So this filing/grinding is next up. I'm at the stage of removing the spring-loaded bit on left inside of receiver but can't get it to detach. Got the little screw out but what else is holding it in place? How can it be removed? Thnx!

I wonder if the Howell gated cylinder could work with a Kirst spring-loaded ejector.
