I was about 10 when this happen, but I was riding my horse (I loved her so much) but she also had a filly and that was aggravating her and she bucked me off right into a pile of rocks. And I was about to hit a barbwire fence and a huge Rock was laying right beside my head millimeters away.... keep in mind I didn’t have a Helmet on either. God really saved my butt. Luckily I survived 3 bucks😂 But my supervisor was seriously concerned and he normally is the guy to shake things off but that day he was scared for me.... but yeah that’s my story 😊 oh! I forgot to mention.... I had 0 injuries except for a nasty bruise on my butt.....

I love how she was worried about her horse and that she wanted to get on. You go girl 😄

When they said the mum was actually an experienced rider herself, and your just sat there thinking, sure, just a little experienced, it’s not like she’s LUCINDA GREEN OR ANYTHING 😂😂😂

My first really bad fall on a horse was not a rotational fall but it was bad because for a couple of seconds or maybe a minute I couldn’t Breath but I was still conscious and the thing is my horse had spooked a little while I was either cantering or trotting because of Something outside and I had fallen off backwards because of it and I hit my lower back on the ground hard and I felt like I was gonna Pass out because of the pain but I didn’t and my dad carried me out to the care and we went home. And I know what your thinking “oh well you should of gone to the hospital” but the thing is it wasn’t that bad because The horse didn’t fall on top of me.

High fatality rate- we call that a clue. Too demanding on horses. It’s the high rider injury that gets this sport in the headlines. Once again the fatality rate of horses not mentioned. Horses killed or fatality injured every week in horse racing but it doesn’t get media attention as jockey injury is low. A death of a rider is a massive issue but hundreds of horses killed is just part of the sport. Both sports the riders say it’s not if but when u fall as falls are guaranteed- we also call that a clue. Horses pay with their lives for the ego and greed of riders. Horses are replaceable but a human life isn’t. If more riders were seriously injured or killed st the rate these horses are then u would see major safety changes and/ or the so called sport banned. Such a shame a horses life means nothing.

Lissa the brave, i loved the way you were worried about the horse, and apologising to the medical team and wanting to know what jump it was and description as if you were trying to figure out how it had miscalculated to this ... that's a true rider. All the best in the future Lissa xo
