See that white tent? My kids and I are in the front row just behind and to the left of it. The standstills didn't come close to making up for the disappointment of the rainout, but at least we got something, and this (Phantom) was amazing to hear.

@@justinblackman8523 Just to clarify, the Nessun Dorma arrangement is from 1991! That year featured a mello soloist (who was JD Shaw if I remember correctly) and 2012 version had a different arrangement with a flugelhorn soloist. Both fantastic shows, I remember seeing the 2012 show in person when they toured CA that year!

@@fujiifilm13 Good call. I forgot JD Shaw was the soloist in 91 which explains why he has them playing that version over the 2012 one. I'm partial to 2012 since I performed it as an encore tune in 2014.

One small note is that Elsa's isn't just the 2011 closer but the corps song.

That was the arrangement I wasn't too sure about. I could of swore I heard more of 2012 than 1991. I loved both shows! And yes JD Shaw played the solo in 1991!

I agree that both BD and bloo had incredible brass moments! But there's no reason to de-value another corps' appearance on a video because others weren't selected :)

I think the choice of music I like better then last years but it’s still feels like the same show same anime music and same ballad and drill Dosnt do it for me anymore

@void8422 I'm also just a sucker for darker shows too tho. BD usually is more top heavy with trumpets and high brass, which is a huge contrast to most of crown's shows. Whatever BD is doing is working tho so who am I to judge

@@esteban_osman yeah if they have somthing that works then they should stick with it ig but literally same I love dark shows and intense music especially low brass I do love mellow not so much trumpets it depends

I just wish bd changed it up like they used to do they won 2012 with a quirky weird show but a new show next year they didn’t win but then they kept changing and got the masterpiece of 2014 just wish they would change it up now bc they’re never ganna get another “2014” show with these same shows every year

If I'm not mistaken this is the brass feature not the trumpet feature so the other parts are shining in this moment which is why the trumpet part is this way.
