Im an international student and I am 14 years old, my dream university if also USC and I also wanna study cinematic arts and business, does anyone know if my dad being an Alumni in cinematic arts will help? By the way my GPA is somewhere around 4.5 out of 5 and I have been doing a lot of extracurriculars especially Model UN, Iron man triathlon volunteering etc.

As a first gen Latina who is a senior in high school that also applied to usc for business in cinematic arts, it was so refreshing to see you talk so openly about your anxiety for post grad and just fears in general because I feel the same way in so many of the aspects that you touched on. I literally felt as if I was looking into a mirror because I feel the exact same way you do. I love your videos because I feel so seen and just reminds me that I’m not alone. Another Diana video! Hope your first week and a half of term went well and your residents are great! 1) Clairo forever 2) I hate LA parking! Thankfully I have a parking space at my flat or else I’d have to parallel park on the street? Hello???? 3) I hate the security at the gates. It feels so not like SC and more like a prison 4) I have a love/hate relationship with my career services office. One of the advisors straight up dismisses my interests and doesn’t take what I have to say seriously and gives me standard, bland advice. However, the amount of work experience and full-time jobs databases really are great. Wish me luck as I use it to secure my full-time job. 5) I like the tuna wrap from TJ too. I add more things in it to make it more flavoursome (pickles, onions, cucumbers etc) 6) yes! Let’s make a dream centre a reality for future students! I may not be a dreamer, but supportive of any resources to help lift students up to be competitive and savvy in PWIs and the real world.

I am surprised that you didn’t mention Dua Lipa’s and Ariana Grande new album. Honestly Billie’s, Clario, Ariana, and Dua all had amazing albums. Also juna by Clario is one of my favorite songs right now!!!

Congrats on the PDP, Diana! Unlike you, I am ready to graduate and start working. I’ve been doing work experience since the end of freshman year because in the communications/PR industry, it’s about who you know and where you’ve worked. I like SC, but I am ready to stop studying. The backpack and stuff the programme gave you looks awesome! Have a great first day back in classes.
