    Amazing cars, they need to breath though headers are so tiny for what the car is. once you do some tasteful mods it wakes the car up.

      I'm sure some breathing mods would help that 5.0L unleash a bit more... Really, more than an abundance of power as it sits, especially when you don't drive it frequently. If it had AWD, I wouldn't even consider selling it.

    Have you had any experience comparing these to the goodwin Superstreets? I have the single tip and while its alot of fun wound up its loud and extrenely obnoxious (for me) tooling around at low rpms. How do these compare?

    • @V24Motorsport
      @V24Motorsport 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No experience personally with the GWR offerings. But for what these comments may be worth to you: the HKS is very close to stock, and it's something I've grown to appreciate as the miles pile on... it certainly gets a little louder with time, but if you didn't tell anyone it was aftermarket, they'd never know; very OE+ and sporty. The Hooker was definitely on the bassier side, or "deep" as some people call it. Personally, when 4-cyl cars try to sound rumbly or bassy, it just feels borderline droney and annoyingly resonant to me. Like, I physically feel tired of it... so embracing the higher frequencies, but with clean and smooth notes on an engine like this seems to keep me happier. Bottom Line: I prefer to always wish it was a hair louder, rather than always wishing it was a bit quieter.

    Excellent video, thanks for doing this! I think I'm likely going to go for the HKS Legamax. From what I've seen and heard, it doesn't sound like the HKS drones. Have you found it to be true? Also, is that the stock suspension setup? Looks awesome from that angle!

    • @V24Motorsport
      @V24Motorsport 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No real drone… or not anymore than factory. It’s really a very subtle choice. I still run the HKS (now with a Mishimoto intake and sound tube delete) and it’s just perfect for me. Intoxicating sound with the top down, refined and rich with the top closed. Feels VERY OE+. And thanks! That’s the Progress RF specific springs on OEM Bilsteins.

    • @V24Motorsport
      @V24Motorsport 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So true. Looking back at these videos now, I really have to listen for a difference... And as mufflers break in with miles, the sound quality really does change. I still run the HKS and am happy with it. But looking back at these, the Hooker sounds better! But I also recall that I didn't like how bassy the Hooker sounded in the cabin vs the HKS... No Ragerts.

    Good video. Taking a chance with the Hooker (lol) I hope there is no highway drone.

    • @V24Motorsport
      @V24Motorsport ปีที่แล้ว

      I find some "drone" present even on the stock exhaust system; most notably between 1500-2500rpm on decel. But not everyone interprets the same low frequencies as "drone", so it can be pretty subjective. The Hooker is more "bassy" than the other two in the video... So if you like deep, bassy notes, I think you'll love the Hooker! I personally never found it too loud or too intrusive, I hope you enjoy it!
