Jed Luckless is a Grateful Dead and Phish inspired musician who performs in the NYC area and streams his shows online. His improvisational style has earned him the nickname Jammin' Jed.

Need some last minute easy to make holiday cookies for that big shindig? Well look no further. The Jedstead Kitchen has you covered with these super easy to make Holiday Thumbprint Cookies! Simple list of ingredients includes flour, sugar, brown sugar, one egg, baking powder, vanilla extract and of course jelly! Enjoy!
Holiday Thumbprint Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup berry preserves (of your choice!)
1/3 cup confectioner's sugar (for decoration - optional!)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheets.
2. In a large bowl, mix butter with white sugar and brown sugar
3. Mix in egg and vanilla
4. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder
5. Stir the flour mixture slowly into the butter mixture and stir to combine
6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on the cookie sheet
7. Make an indentation in each cookie (with your thumb!)
8. Fill the indentations with delicious jam
9. Back at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes
10. Let cool for five minutes and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar or other decorations
11. Enjoy and happy holidays!

That is pretty close to my grandma's recipe. Though I use the Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage and it gives it more of that cooked in the turkey taste without slowing down cooking the turkey with stuffing inside since my oven doesn't cook evenly
