❤❤❤❤❤❤
Praise the LORD God Most High! For this magnificent performance.❤
Great summary, thanks Paul.
That was really interesting.. it is so good to see who does what and why they like What they do. Thanks you Quin
Wow! I deeply appreciate this good work! I am thankful to the Lord for the food I receive from Brookside every 4th Monday. Thanks to our friend Rich who introduced us.
sound volume is low
Keep making them.

rainbow promoters won’t stop. look at the mainline churches. this is where the crc is headed. it should have been obvious in the 1980s and forward--first female clergy, then female office holders, and now comes the rainbow. sow to the wind and reap the rainbow whirlwind.
Thanks, Ellie and Quin!
Need more volume - can't hear their conversation.
It's a great Church! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Pastor Paul for this video. It helps me as Council Chair to confirm what I know (I was a delegate) and how my church can move forward. I loved your comment (as I remember it), "When I am unsettled on an issue, I slow down. Synod '24 did not slow down..."
probably because they were not unsettled on the issue
The world changes. The Church changes. Does the Bible Change?
I can say, from being on that committee, 3 years came from the normal term of office for elders and deacons. The seminary really doesn't have to do anything since they use the covenant for officebearers basically verbatim. The university is where the only real issues are occurring.
Also, Churches and members that have declared themselves in the "status" of those "in protest" were not automatically dissafliated. That was a minority report that went away after Committee 8 made other guidelines for disciple. In Protest churche and members were to be entered into the process of discipline... No one was dissafilated at Synod 2024.
Thanks for this excellent overview. As a delegate in 2022 and 2024 I may have framed a couple matters *slightly* different, but appreciate this overview. Around 15:00 though I think it's noteworthy that there is a 4th option to someone who goes through the 3 year CDG discipleship process... They might come to understand the issue online with the teachings of the church. That is the hope and prayer and the way councils should proceed. Of course there are likely and unlikely outcomes in some matters, but I would hope churches and the filers of CDG would enter in good faith to genuinely exam the issue(s) and see what God's Word says.

Thanks for your excellent overview, Paul.
This is awesome!! Love you Mike!! Keep pointing people to Jesus!
Thanks for all your hard work, Jason!
I carefully closed one eye when you raised that agenda book, but I still got a headache.
Welcome Joel! Thankful God brought you to Brookside!
So excited to have you in worship leadership at Brookside!
Bring on the gospel brother! 😅
Thank you for being willing to address this difficult topic from the pulpit.
"Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters." ~Roman's 14:1 In the essentials - unity In the non-essentials - liberty In all things - love The issue with people is, what are the essentials to justification? Too often they want to slide the process of sanctification in there somewhere.
Nice to see you
So wonderful to hear from you Pastor Hoon and On You and Soli! We miss you! May God give you a clear calling to your next job that He has for you!
we also recently visited a Florida church. It was sparsely attended and almost everyone was excited to see 2 potential members. Too much greeting! I felt like we just stepped on to a used car lot . bz
Thanks, Quin & Steve. Mayu I add that there is also a 6pm worship service at Brookside CRC? We are currently studying the rich book of James from the Bible. All are welcome!
So fun to hear more from Nicole. (You too Quin!) Thanks so much.
Brookside has been doing Contemporary worship for many years. I have never heard it explained as less scripted. I’d love to see some documentation that explains this meaning, any suggestions that I could read?
Thank You Pastor Paul For The Segment On Covid, I Had Covid Twice And I Have Slowed Down On Church, I Watch From Home, But I Do Attend Bible Study There. When I Listen To This My Heart Is Sad Because I Attend Bible Study Because I Have To Be With Other Christians Because I Want To Learn God's Message Like That, I Will Get Back To Going Almost Every Sunday, I Pray To Find My Way Back, In Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏿
I get indigestion too if I don't know what to do. ;)
Interesting conversation about one of the prickliest topics in the 'established' organized church. Personally, I see it as more of a 'left brained', 'right brained' thing. I am predominantly left brained. I am analytical, linear thinking. I like the old hymns because they are pregnant with biblical doctrine that reminds me of and reinforces my faith ... what I believe. Typically, the more contemporary praise songs mostly (not all) fall more into the right brained arena - the artistic appeal to emotional engagement. For a person like me, the constant repetition of an emotional phrase loses my attention rather quickly, while the right brained person next to me is lost in a space at the Master's feet. Both are worship, both are effective. I think the blend at Brookside works quite well - touching both ends of the spectrum where we can meet in the middle. After all, it's all about the One we came to worship. He is 'worthy' ... which is the root word of worship.
I sub to your Channel and watch your church service on Sundays . I'm down the street, not far Birchgrove. Sorry, I can't come in person. I have health issues. I just wanted to say I enjoyed your services, and I suffered a seizure last week. I'm spending some time down at Skilled Wyoming until Tuesday, then they let me go home. I'm Chris. I will check on Facebook for your fan page and follow. Thank you
Thanks for your note, Chris. Do keep watching online. Hope to see you at church one of these Sundays, Lord willing. Quin & Paul
Nice, concise
Thanks!
It helps me to think of the main purpose of the O.T. offices of prophet and priest accordingly: the prophet mainly represented God before the people while the priest mainly represented the people before God. (I say mainly as there is, of course, cross-over.) The church, then, is to serve as a 'royal priesthood' as we are to represent the needs of a broken world before a holy God through intercession and service. The prophet, however, is to bring God's clear message to the people - usually to warn or to encourage with God's inspiration and authority. In my humble opinion, I feel there are too few prophetic voices today. The church as a whole seems to be sinking deeper and deeper into apathy. My continual prayer is for an awakening - a purifying of His church through the washing of the water of His Word, restoring Christ as her first love.
I kind of go with, "if you don't own it, don't teach it". Authenticity comes from understanding, not echoing.
Thank you Quin and Pastor Paul!
