This position applies concepts from passing in which the bottom player is able to utilize the "bump by" motion in order to turn an opponent's frame into an underhook. Let me know what you think of this position in the comments below and suggest topics for us to cover in future videos!

Any tips for avoiding any toe hold / footlock attacks against the non-hooking foot in the early stages of playing DLR? I’ve seen other players like Gianni Grippo keep the foot inside the hip, for example.
Very clear. Thankyou very much.
Nice video..Good instruction…Thanks!
Boys, get you a lady who looks at you like Danny looks at his Publix pasta salad 😂
😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My guys always with 🔥juijitu
One of the kids who helped film for you here, you guys were incredibly impressive although I don't know too much Jiu-jutsu. Love the channel and good luck at worlds in Vegas.
Thanks for your help bro! ❤
Man’s brought a carry on just for pasta salad
😂😂😂
Hey danny, thanks for sharing this. I love the position because of our own kneeline being free. Not sure if you'll see this, but any thoughts on when your opponent straightens the "dlr leg" after you insert it. I feel like i have no trouble with keeping that frame on them, but when i set up the move where their leg (dlr) isnt as bent, they somewhat leg press away to the point where their leg is almost straight so then crossing the other leg makes it difficult. Is it our job to create a bend on their leg etc? or have you ever encountered this problem? your comp footage: their dlr leg is always bent so i assume this is how you get a nice dig on the heel when you pass it over? (4:35, 9:21)
Love it
Could it be started with collar underhook de la riva instead of letting go to grab the the leg with your right hand just curious why the right hand was used to cup the leg
“Let me know what you think” I think you’re a cheat code in jiu Jitsu
Amazing how perfectly you were able to hit that in a high-speed match! So many hours of drills must be behind this
What follow ups do you do if as you invert you cannot attach to the hip because they’re building distance? Often when I go Bolo or Kiss of the Dragon I can sit their hips down to the mat but they create space to prevent the hip grip and they’re so far away wrestle ups aren’t an option. Great video would love to see more NoGi bolo content!
Excellent tutorial brother 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
can we have some gi bolo breakdowns too
Great vid Dan!
Amazing video

Absolutely fire, bro
Why step on your own knee for the finish? Bigger bridge? I’m def going to explore that option
Great vid
Wow this format sucks … you couldn’t just show it like a normal person actually demonstrating it ?
Love it would love to see more! Fits right into my game
Is there any scenario where you’re looking for the near side underhook to establish the pass?
Like this a lot. I personally struggle moving from outside guards like dlr to x guards so this is very applicable for me
Amazing details as always! I would love to see some ankle lock defense too since it is really popular at this time, especially the variation with both feet on the hip bone.
Amazing! Keep posting please! Very good content 🙌🏼

Mikey didn’t come up with this I saw Jim Kelly hit this in Enter The Dragon
Aren't you worried about the opponent kicking your top leg with his free leg when you do X legs?
You can transition from xlegs to double backside to lock the free leg in place
