Riverdance Gold Mining Mini Max Demo: Efficient Gold Recovery Using 30, 60, and 100 Mesh Screens
Riverdance Gold Mining Demo - Day 2 at the 2024 Alaska State Fair
Welcome to an in-depth demonstration of Riverdance Gold Mining’s portable Mini Max mineral jig, a revolutionary tool for efficient and precise gold recovery. In this Day 2 demo, we showcase the system's ability to classify and process material through a series of mesh screens, demonstrating its versatility and effectiveness.
Step-by-Step Demonstration
We take you through the process of refining material from Alaska's Willow Creek, using progressively finer screens to classify materials:
30 Mesh Screen: The coarsest screen, separating larger rocks and debris while retaining the first layer of heavy materials.
60 Mesh Screen: A mid-level screen designed to capture smaller particles, focusing on retaining concentrated gold and gemstones.
100 Mesh Screen: The finest screen in the setup, ideal for isolating ultrafine gold and other dense materials.
Each step in the classification process reduces waste and narrows down the material, ensuring maximum recovery efficiency while simplifying the cleanup process.
Features of the Mini Max Jig
Steel Shot Bedding: Enhances the stratification process, creating a barrier that captures gold and heavy minerals while allowing lighter materials to be washed away.
Specific Gravity Separation: Automatically sorts materials by weight, effortlessly isolating gold from gravel and sand.
Compact Design: Lightweight at just 12 pounds and highly portable, making it perfect for remote mining operations.
Versatile Power Options: Operates on AC power, 12-volt car batteries, or lightweight power tool batteries, offering flexibility for any environment.
Performance Highlights
High Efficiency: Captures gold down to 350 mesh, ensuring even the smallest particles are retained.
Self-Cleaning Action: The jig’s pulsing water system reduces material, giving you much less to pan out.
Real-Life Results: Watch as we recover gold, sapphires, and even a shark tooth during the demonstration.

Tailings check with Riverdance Mini-Max

I took 16 gallons of fair demo tailings and ran them through my Mini-Max outfitted with a 100 mesh screen. It took me a total of 67 minutes to feed all 16 gallons which averages out to a little over 4 minutes a gallon or 21 minutes per 5 gallon bucket. That included swapping out tailings buckets 8 times and one odd pump snafu, so 16-18 minutes per 5 gallons was probably more accurate. I used an...

What’s your favorite part of the gold recovery process?
I mine in Alaska. It all starts with a gold pan and ends with a gold pan ! Unless you don't know how to pan . Three small fishing sinkers in your gold pan will help to understand panning and those sinkers should still be in the pan if your doing it correctly. Practice makes perfect. I'd like to see this clean up machine
I bought a mini yesterday from Alaska Mining and Diving because of the fine gold in my local gold district. Well can't change the size of the local gold but I can change the gold recovery system. I'm excited to get in the field
@@alaskawilliam1 awesome! Have fun! 😁👍🏻⚒️
Can you run it straight or do you have to classify to a certain size first?
@@dbcotton1882 you can run it straight 👍🏻
How does it run with heavy clay content? Both locations I usually frequent (North Carolina and Arizona) , have a lot of clay. I'm also interested in using one to shoot for gems like emeralds and sapphires.
@@dbcotton1882 We have tested some sapphires fragments from Ethiopia of various sizes multiple times and it works really well. Because the specific gravity is less than gold it doesn't sink below jig shot as quickly as gold so feeding it slightly slower works great. But in all of our testing we always captured what we added to our test material. When it comes to clay the water and pulsing action will break it down but the clay in Alaska and the clay in Arizona and North Carolina are different. We have a company rep in northern Georgia now that would be willing to meet up and test some material if your interested. rgmak.com/participated/?variation_id=3061671 contact us and we can set something up.
How is it compared to say the Gold Cube with Dream Mat or the Gold Hogg multi-sluice?
Mineral Jigs of any size have a 95% capture rate compared to a sluice box of any type which has about a 60%-70% capture rate. th-cam.com/video/dOrqp8AC8Do/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pXDL9-S4XEZvL7-D blog.rgmak.com/mineral-jig-vs-sluice-box-which-is-better/
@@chrisparker9886 great question! We get asked comparison questions a lot, and the answers are pretty similar no matter which product we are looking at. The two you asked about are top of the line, well known and liked equipment, and we are extremely happy to be compared to them. Our machines have a smaller footprint, are lighter, and you can feed them faster than the cube. Plus, you don’t have to pre-screen the material. The gold hog will outpace us for throughput but our recovery rate is unmatched. I think the best way to say it is that we have customers and investors that used to be hard core gold cube or sluice enthusiasts and now they say they’ll never go back. Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck!

Have access to alot of ore containing fine gold in Australia. Would probably order one but the AUD dollar is turning into the peso lately 😢

i don't see how that thing could push rocks out ---- how does a pepple get over the lip?
Isn’t that weird? It will actually push large rocks, 3 or 4 inches, up and over the lip! It isn’t the size of the rocks, it’s the specific gravity of the material you are adding. When I’m out on a creek I don’t prescreen the material anymore because with a few exceptions (overly large or very dense rocks) everything keeps moving and I can still screen out the shot at the end.
@@RiverdanceGoldMining --- i understand but not EXACTLY if you know what I mean. Is it because it gets so full that something has to go and it's never the gold? Seems like something you could load a hopper and feed a slurry into somehow. I'm not a miner I am very inventive and building a rig to clean a bunch of gravel and decomposed grannite out of soil. From tests it seems like there is a fair amount of trace gold so I want to set up to grab it while I am at it. My concept is that if you are doing construction you may as well classify anything you dig out if you can use the aggrigate and get some gold as a byproduct. Seems like a mini wash plant that also moved on it's own power and could dredge using a vac and a pressure washer. It would be an expensive machine but next step would be automation. Like immagine having a dredge setup with a littler crawler that works on auto pilot. And shit, has anyone thought of robotic metal detectors ? Your machine looks very interesting. How much is the machine? I'm interested in collaborating and maybe bartering somehow. I design ALL KINDS of stuff. I have invented a bunch of stuff. Example, cheap sluice box, wood frame, lay a bed of (x hardening material) use whatever means to make impressions, sealer, whatever, done. I used veg oil mixed with exterior wood glue (gorilla) and concrete glue (acrlic) and sawdust. those three parts in different ration make an interesting cheap finish. Though veg oil is $10/gallon though. I have used 1:1:1 and 3:1:1 (veg/glue/acrylic). I tried more veg oil and it seems very tough and slightly plastic. After I finished I was thinking whynot just use thinset. I have also used sant/cement/latex paint on a lot of stuff including walls, roofs, facia. For walls use drywall mud/paint/plastic cement (light gray) or paint (white)/ lime/mud for an off white color. I have used plastic cement and drywayll mud 50/50 and it's only slightly chalky but tough and natural looking. You can apply with a trowel with berber carpet padding (or similar) glued to it. It fixes the walls as you put 1-3 coats. If you have a uniform color under you can do one light or heavy coat and have a very custom looking wall and you litterally use a cereal bowl full of material for an 8x12 wall per coat. If you know what you are doing you can create a much nicer product, quicker and a lot cheaper on materials. Color can be changed with the paint or concrete coloring.
For some reason I can’t reply to the long comment you left. Very interesting stuff though! I’d like to hear more and see some photos. Yes, the material moves when new material,is added. The lightest material can and will be bounced out with just the jigging action and the little water flow that you see, but the heavier rejects have to be displaced by new material. Gold sinks and is trapped against the screen or goes through it.
@@RiverdanceGoldMining it looks awesome --- from what i have seen you have the best pound for pound machine out there
@@RiverdanceGoldMining the only somewhat revolutionary idea i have is this amazon mini cement mixer ($170) . a 2gallon kills paint buckt snaps into the snout with a little coaxing as and extension. The bucket will remain stationary and have a feed tube which is a 90deg ABS street fitting that curves into get the material in. The snout will stay roughly levlel with some fine adcustment. The same bucket will have an exhaust port that can feed a sluice on a continuous basis. It's a super quick DIY tromel i guess. I'm planning to have it go throught 2 stages before that. Material will be shoveled into a hopper maybe 5-6 feet off the ground. Maybe just low enought to dumb a small bucket or you can stand on something. It's going to be interesting. Nothhing much to photo yet. I'm just using stuff i have laying around but i have a lot of random materials so....
DID HE JUST PEE? LOL

You are welcome...
Instead of all the typical demo "it does this"... give us some hard numbers. Weight/volume processed per hour, capable of running 'X-to-X' size material, etc.
Weighs 16 lbs. Runs up to 1/4 cy/hr. Will run +1 inch material but I screen the material to -1/4 so I can screen out the jig shot during clean up. The screens are now removable and there is a 2nd stage attachment as well. Thanks for asking 👍🏻

Nuts, been working on a similar idea for a while guess I got beat to it lol.
