While it looks cool ...with no weight on the drive tires, you have no traction, for stopping, no traction for starting, no traction in the rain, snow, or sandy roads either. I would not recommend this. I have seen too many accidents.
I regularly drive a truck with no trailer attached and iv had no problems in 20+ years. The engine will only give you as much power as your right foot asks it to, if you ask for to much then yeah your gonna have problems but that’s the drivers fault not the trucks.
