Thank you.. How did you attach your hammock.
What pencil are you using? I e tried so many ways to mark denim and can’t find one that shows well.
Lady. I'm so happy I found you. Thanks for showing how to wind & load. Thankssssssssssss.
Thank you for this information. Do you have a video of how to attach the zippers to the leaders? I love the basket idea for keeping the batting and quilt top off the floor!
Why not attach the second half of the zipper with the zipper on top of the selvage so the bulk of the fabric can be to the left of the needle?
how do you sew it on the fabric
The camera was moving so much that it made me dizzy, but thanks for the info.
Hello! Thank you for sharing how you load a quilt. I just did it this way and loved it! After getting stuck this week and last, same finger, near the same spot…I knew I had to make a change. Easy peasy to load. I might to get a couple of your zippers tho. I love how they are marked. Did you guys make your hammock/basket? I would love to have something like that to keep batting and quilts off floor. Stephanie
Nice. very well explained. It is simple, however, if you have never done the zipper method it would be hard to understand if you have never seen it.
thanks you so much for being the only one who demos the zipper attachment to the fabric! Thank You!
You're welcome!
Greetings. Just watched this video and i have some questions. Did you sew your zippers to your top and bottom of the quilt? And do you use a basting stitch? Thank you
We only sew zippers to the bottom of the quilt and do a full float for the top. And yes - definitely always with a basting stitch or it takes forever to take the zipper off!
oh thank you ..you gave me all kinds of info .. I am a hoop frame quilter but I like to use zippers instead of pinning to my leaders ... :) AGAIN, THANKS !
What a cool idea! There's no reason why it wouldn't work on a traditional hand quilting frame as well.
How do you remove the lines when you are finished?
It usually rubs off as you're stitching, but can also be removed with soap and water if necessary. (It's always a good idea to do a test on your fabric before starting!)
I'm SOLD, after making MANY pleated masks. I use a hemostat forcep (known Back In The Day as a Finest Kind Roach Clip, not that I ever inhaled...) to pull the twill tape through the channel. I sew down one end of the twill tape, then gather, then nail down that corner.
