Albeit the Harbor is cleaner, but the DCR and the Department of interior harbor island have dropped the ball,, most of the islands sea walls are decimated, Georges island Fort waren is falling into the sea,, The harbor island now should get on the stick start fixing the sea walls befor you have no island left, just rocks and sand bars ! !

I am so sorry that I did not see this video a year earlier but I am happy that at least I have seen it now. My question is for Dr. LaRoche, what about crossing the Susquehanna into PA? Also, I was thinking that they most likely changed vessels outside of the port to smaller fishing vessels. An example of this is during Rum Running times in Sandy Point Maine we had a sardine factory and when customs would come on board they hide the alcohol in the fish hatches. The custom agents would just look in but no one would go into inspect the hatch. (They smelled pretty ripe.)Many things were smuggled in that way. That was during the 1920's I figured they had to have learned that somewhere maybe helping slaves escape? We did have an active anti-slavery group in this area. Thank you Dr Walker, and Dr La Roche for researching this topic I find this information fascinating Also good job to NPS Shawn Quigley.
