​@@livingthegoodlifechannel Only a couple of sales this week end, I did score one of those typical "seed pearl, black onyx then small gold ball" type necklaces. The clasp said 14K but that doesn't mean the little gold balls are . Guess I could get out my kit with the out of date chemicals and test one.

Thank you for identifying the stone, Robin! I was so SHOCKED! I kept thinking: What did the first guy get? The table on which these were displayed was a velvet lined silver chest. Can you imagine how much sterling silver flatware was in that chest?

You would have gotten it right! Shockingly low price. I remember items like it being donated to a charity with which I was involved in. Reminds me of silent auction items.

Even that would have been a good price!

It was so pretty. We were there in October. It was slightly cool that night and there was a breeze blowing as we sat on top of the double decker tour bus. One of the best bus tours that I have taken.

I would be mad too! I lost one in 1997 that my Grandmother gave to me. I had pneumonia and lost it (I think) at the doctor's office. I went back to the office to try to find it (sick as a dog!). No such luck.

@@livingthegoodlifechannel A friend who has money up the Ying Yang said "never by real diamond studs because if you loose them you are out the price of the two". She said, "no one should be that close to your ear to tell the difference". I always assumed hers were real diamonds.

Hi there Gerry. I have been very fortunate over the years to find several but they are usually smaller. I found a large red one that I've already given to my friend as her birthday present. This amber one was BIG, and I even saw it in the garage sale photos so I knew that it was there. I cannot believe that I got distracted even for a moment.

Hey there. I hope that the camping trip went well. I would get into a patch of chiggers and be miserable. I had over 125 of those handpainted floral shakers but I've sold off some at garage sales over the past few years. I've kept the most beautiful. This winter, I will try to film them when the sales get slow. It's a lovely idea to put stick pins in them!

Hi Jane. I went to my hometown for a city wide garage sale last week. My friend got several things (she was faster than me!) LOL. I had limited success. I hope that you have a successful week. I'm likely to be home from the sales this week. The lady who visits with Mom on Thursday's and Friday's is off on vacation.

Thanks so much for your kind words, Jane. I am tired. I just started taking Mom to an adult day care on Monday and Tuesday. A lady sits with her on Thursday and Friday mornings so that I can attend estate/garage sales. By the time that Monday morning comes around, I am exhausted again, and I don't have it anywhere near as bad as most people who care for family members. I don't plan to give up my sales. It's a great way to get some exercise; be around people, and have some fun. Thanks you!

Hi there! Lately, we have really been lucky. I tell my garage sale buddy that we have to get there really early. If you aren't there first---if you don't pick the right couple of sales to get to first---the whole day is a loss.

Hello! I wish that I knew more about art too. Unfortunately, the pink vase on the left is Teleflora of all things, and it appears that the "Murano" vase just acquired the sticker. They were cheap enough that making mistakes isn't a problem. I don't know when I'll find a collection of railroad items but I did find an entire bag of Pez dispensers for $2 yesterday as well as some other small "man-vintage" items. They will be in an upcoming video. They will keep the guys coming to our garage sale.
