She was so spirited and articulate. Such a shame to lose her so prematurely.
Nice Job everyone!
Hating Tarantino proves she was ahead of her time.
Proves she was just full of herself just like you and the rest.
Yawn.
This is actually pretty good!
Just catching up on this now, amazing work!
Thanks so much for this work. Brilliant.

Billiant
3 months later she was dead which is heartbreaking to know.
agreed - she sounded so full of life - so much more share ... sad
If someone has an article about the pain in Cleansed , I write a research paper about this topic.. please send it to Hishamsnow52@gmail.com... with regards
I’ve uploaded the Radio 4 documentary “Blasted: The Life and Death of Sarah Kane” here-> th-cam.com/video/wOYy-7nrLuM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much
I'll never tire of this recording. Endless thank yous.
Wagwan Sarah
I love her comments on critics, so true. Being an artist or writer of some kind should be pre-requisite, otherwise you get the thwarted-artist critic showing off their "I could've been just as good if I tried" poetic skills used in gleefully destroying everything they can. They should be mocked out of the public square, but now I feel snarky critics appear to be the center of the culture.
Brilliant. I love the vintage styled costumes. Real Grimaldi style!
this women is such an inspiration, she really is amazing and such an influenece on my life and career.
God damn it, I wish she hadn't died :( what would have come after 4.48??
Anthony Kuiper It is certainly a shame, but I doubt that 4.48 would have existed if she hadn’t
She wasn't poetry generating machine! Be sorry for her pain and death, not for the loss of potential masterpieces!
I love that line: "When it comes to the acts of violence in my plays my imagination isn't that fucking sick, I mean, I just read the newspapers". It was worth "watching" until the very end, thanks for uploading :)
does anyone know the time stamp for this quote?
@@florenceridley3672 its around the 45:00 minute mark
What an incredible document for fans of Sarah's work. Is there any possibility of restoring the audio at all? Or perhaps is there a transcript from someone who was there? Dan is quite hard to hear at times. I was most curious to hear the names of the writers who Sarah thought was brilliant. I think I've figured out two of them, was it David Grieg and David Harrower, Kris Haddow? Its around 16:40. Dan names them there, and later Sarah says they are her favourite three writers.
Hi Ben; you're almost spot on - Chris Hannan was the third. I've managed to unearth a transcript of the conversation for you: www.royalholloway.ac.uk/dramaandtheatre/documents/pdf/skane1998.pdf I hope that helps, and I'm planning to clean up the audio very soon - will keep you posted.
thanks
RoyalHollowayDrama oh I just found this reply, thanks so much for the transcript. What a genius she was.
@@RoyalHollowayDrama Thank you so much!!
@@RoyalHollowayDrama hi! that link is now off - is there an alternative? thank you :)
It's so sad to know that even though she spoke of her attacks from the media with some good humour and maturity, she must have been dying on the inside. 😭😭😭
Thanks for uploading this. What an excellent find! Have you got an approximate date of the recording?
+Midnight Dawn 3rd November 1998
+Katie Austin Thanks! Really useful to know :)
