These videos are not official releases but something I made up because we all want more Yes music and more Roger Dean. So I have used generative artificial intelligence seeded from original Roger Dean's to create images and have manually edited the music. It is an artistic outlet for me as I have no artists studio.
My endeavour is to obtain the look and feel of a Roger Dean painting with some originality. I am trying to be a bit original but Yes at the same time. It's no good being totally original because then it's not Yes, it doesn't belong to Yesworld. And I can't be too close to the original Roger Dean's I suppose.
I hope these videos bring out qualities of the music that are not immediately apparent or make the music come alive to those unfamiliar with it. They can also bring out the meaning of the songs or I suppose my own meaning to the songs. When it works the artwork reinforces the music and the music reinforces the artwork. It's great when everything synchronizes.

Good..yes is the best
On the Silent Wings of Freedom is one of those overlooked gems from the much-maligned Tormato album, which in fact has a lot of great songs, but was marred by poor production values. Too bad they didn't have Eddie Offord at the control panel on that one.
Does Yes sound like Rush, or is it Rush sounds like Yes?
Rush was influenced by Yes and Genesis.
@@derandavis1393 when you turn up the keyboards Yes sound like Genesis, Tony Banks always got his way in Genesis. YYZ sounds like Genesis. I think Rush would have benefitted from having a dedicated keyboard player.
I really think Yes should crank up the keyboards
"The revealing science..." is always, always, simply HEAVENLY.
otra vez gracias! Los musicos?
Anderson Kaye Rabin Squire White
impresionante. gracias
Had no idea this live extended version is so great. This live version lives now, soaring eternally on the silent wings of freedom. And with these images. Thank you. Chris Squire is forever here.
This is really frigging good. Thanks.
Yes, a musical dream that have lasted more than fifty years for me... thanks for this, Stephen ❤
I think this is from "Tormato," one of my favorite Yes albums, right next to "CTTE," and "Relayer."
Terry and Jerry Robinson Merry Christmas🎄💚☃️
Walked into show posing as snack bar worker wearing a plain 💚 green apron found in parking lot.. it was a sign from heaven. Discrete unticketed concert entry by any means necessary in the day!😊
That's very special. What happened when you went to the snack bar!
Live Yes in Concert Phoenix 1979
Perfect for the Holidays 😊
Fricken great Stephen. Thx.
Normally, I'd come down on you for using AI to emulate a particular graphics artist, but as I'm reading Roger Dean's wiki page, he admits to not even owning a record player until he 25 years old, so his borrowing from the musical world then was about as whack as your borrowing from him today. So have at it. But musically, crediting the band Yes is one thing, but from 7:58 to 8:50 I'm hearing something stolen directly from keykboardist Rick Wakeman's Six Wives of Henry VIII album, with no credit anywhere for that, which is just wrong at every level. In conclusion: Please Mr. Stephen Topliss, just stop.
@@mikekimbro1263 the Yes concerts used to have solos from the members of the band and Rick Wakeman used to do some music from his Six Wives of Henry VIII. This is common knowledge. Both pieces are from the Quebec concert.
These are great video's to listen to, but it would be much better if each frame was a minute long so we could soak in the music and the image. They change so fast that we don't have time to immerse ourselves in them (even a little stressful). I would personally choose the 5 or 10 best frames out of the 210.
@@gentlegerry7787 yes I think I slowed it down a bit for v3. I think you're right.
Can I ask are you watching it on a phone or TV or PC monitor
Спасибо, дорогой Друг!!!
Awaken is simply the greatest piece of music Yes ever put out. And considering this is the band that gave us close to the edge and the gates of delirium that's saying something.
That IS saying something. Gates for me. ❤
Wonder if that was the Birotron?
It was. I saw two of three nights of this tour at MSG and got a good look at the thing through my telephoto lens (along with sine great pics) it was rather odd it was a bit bigger and boxy and he had just one which looked weird in the twin minimoog setup.
This is worderful. Do you have the rest of the show?
There is a website called Forgotten Yesterdays and you can download most concerts
Alan White , great drummer underrated. In this song Is a Monster!
Saved Yes’ bacon at the pivotal point in their career. The true hero in the Yes Drama. And a powerful, emotional drummer, vastly undersold following Bill’s electrifying time with the band.
Wow! What the heck? On the back of your 47th screamdown @4:17 -4:25? Al my times listening to different versions and then Yes!!! Thanks great everything!
Loved TALK tour! Thanks Stephen, this sounds fantastic!
This Dean art is phenomenal. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much for share. Great memories.
The intro to On the Silent Wings of Freedom was all over the place and a mess (Chris was on point), but when Jon came in with his vocals the song became more cohesive, IMO. But hey, I'd never heard a live version of the song so I'm happy nonetheless. The Wakeman solo, however, was very good and very clear, leading into an entertaining rendition of Awaken. I was not disappointed. Thanks.
Wow! Incredible! Two of my favorites Yes songs. Sounds beautiful. Thanks!
Yes music never ages, it always sounds modern even after all this time. Steve Howe is what makes it.
You can't beat his steel lap guitar, not sure why others don't get one!
@@toplissstephen I know. That sound on 'And You And I' and the beautiful 'Soon' section of 'Gates' is so emotive. Whenever Howe was not in the band Yes Music seemed to lose it's heart, but Howe, with his Jazz overtones, gives it it's peculiar direction. I love the way he hardly used distortion guitar like most bands did in the 70's. I think people are tuning in to Yes even more these days because of their unusual Symphonic treatment of rock music, and for that I believe Wakeman plays a huge part.
@@sawry1 I think we'll find out that Steve Howe is the most irreplaceable member of Yes
@@sawry1 Howe and Wakeman.
@@larrymagee8758 Well, yes, to a degree, but listen to Gates with Moraz and Drama with Downes and the Albums both retain that distinctive Yes sound. However take Howe out and you get 90125 and Big Gen, clearly not really 'Yes.'
Saw the Philly Spectrum show on this tour. Nosebleed seets.
Mais um momento que eterniza a música dos YES. Mais um entre outros excelentes grupos de então, em que musicalidade, genialidade e beleza musical imperava. UAU
Yes kept going whereas others didn't, maybe others were too precious about their music, but Yes let others come along and maybe rework things in the future.
Fantástico, genios totales. Música eterna. Gracias por compartir❤❤❤❤
Marvelous, extraordinary.
Самый заумный альбом у Йесов😊
never was steve howe more featured in a yes production. great one of four from this album.
Thanks! This sounds great! ☮, ❤ & 🎶/ 🌎
Chris Squire and YES, the greatest show on earth. The first time I saw YES, the first three songs were Sound Chaser, Close To The Edge, and Gates Of Delirium. Saw YES 35 more times over forty years ✨️🎶👑🎶✨️
Have you caught Jon with the Band Geeks? Fantastic
The stereo panning on Steve Howe is friggin' amazing !
Squire rules on this one!
Squire the GOAT
Wowee !!! Those are some BIG Honeybees !!!
Clicked on the thumbnail the algorithm offered up. imagine my surprise .... It's from a show I attended. Crazy old world.
🎵🎶🎹thanks
Chris Squire in moment Divino ! R.I.P
Another song from the late 70's/early 80's I've been looking for is "Heathaze" from Genesis. Ever wondered if there is a live version.
Not live, but someone has added mellotron to the original track giving it classic Genesis lift.......type in "Heathaze with added mellotron"
