This bag, when not overstuffed probably measures 7 inches in depth, but overstuffed to 11 or 12 inches makes it too big for under seat and too rigid to wear comfortably. If you were to add a laptop, you'd crack it in half with a stuffed pack like that.

I purchased this in black in the convertible design so I can remove the bottom.

how strong is the magnet that closes the bag? i got my gf this bag and it seems like it doesnt shut

Did you find the actual AirTag pocket yet? It's a tiny elasticized pocket near the top of the lining on the backside of the large compartment. It is not the small zippered pocket at the top of the back.

Hi. Love the review- love the backpack straps. cannot find this bag on amzon or herschel supply. any suggestions? perhaps out of production? they have a bowen, but no striped interior lining, no pockets on interior as your video, no backpack straps, etc. so disappointed.

Too much of ambient noise , which has spoiled the video. And You need to be more elaborate. You need to describe the material ,pluses and minuses of all characteristics ,what are lacking, what could have been added, etc.

Eventhough the pack is way overly stuffed, it does demonstrate that if someone plans on packing half the load shown, which is still a lot, this bag has an excellent capacity for its size.

I just purchased this exact bag from Amazon. Really happy with it. I'll be using it as my under seat personal item bag in a couple of month on my trip to Thailand.

The *rrcopys* wallet looks fancier than advertised, which is why it gets 5 stars. I really like the color and the way it's made.

I know people personally who have so much genuine luxury brands yet they live in their mama house. I own my own home, drive a lexus and i do buy real mid luxury bags but anything over $1000 im getting a H Q D U P S replica and keeping money in my pocket.

this bag is bigger than the bento bag and might not fit under the seat in many airplanes if packed out and might not qualify for a personal item while the bento bag can.

This hidupz tote is beautifully colored, very sturdy and the perfect size. Not too small, not too big.

I use this backpack every day at work and in life. It's comfortable enough to use as an everyday "purse" and has enough room to hold everything I need for work at the same time! *rrcopys* Their bags I believe will not let you down!

The quality and workmanship of HQDUPS's high-end imitation bags are very satisfactory. The soft and delicate leather shows that the materials are quite good. The texture of the metal accessories also makes the bag look very high-end. The fine processing of details makes this bag look no less inferior to the original.

OMGosh I wrote a LONG full review (I’ve never written one) of the V3 Nomad Lane Bento and it deleted itself when I switched over to another app for a second. 😢 So, I’ll save that for another time, another place. :-) What I really wanted to say anyway was that, although I love the Herschel brand, love the hidden backpack straps, and the price is AMAZING, I would still prefer the Nomad Lane in this case. For the money, the Herschel is a great deal and looks like a great bag. But I wanted to add this here just in case someone was still trying to decide between the two. This is the reason I prefer the Bento without hesitation: On all versions of the Nomad Lane Bento Bags, there are pockets and accessible compartments that you only need to unzip one zipper on the top of the bag to easily access. By design, all your items should be very organized, so you should not have to “search” for anything. In an airplane, in the middle of a flight, if I need some lip balm or protein bar or cord or whatever, with an eye mask still on, I could bend forward, feel for the correct zipper, unzip it, grab my item, zip it back up, push it back under the seat, and resume snoozing. No problem. Personally, I would aesthetically prefer a less structured bag, but the Bento Bag is amazing, it needs the structure, and I would have a very hard time parting with it. Especially while flying or taking a long roadtrip. Nope. It’s just too good. To be fair, I know someone who travels quite a bit and decided not to use the Bento Bag. She didn’t care for the number of pockets in which you can store things. She felt she was always searching for the correct pocket. She ended up with a semi-structured tote with a big open design. On her bag there are very few places to tuck things away. She did keep the Bento Bag in case she changed her packing style though. So it really depends on your own personal preferences. There’s no wrong here, especially with brands like Nomad Lane and Herschel. One other thing, I coveted the Version 4 when it was released. But I have decided to stick with the Version 3 for now. Mostly because they changed the style of the main outer side pocket - it is no longer gusseted. They also did away with the outer charging port. The probably had a good reason. Maybe the new pocket style or the fact that the charging port has already started becoming obsolete without adapters. No one wants an obsolete tech feature on their bag investment. But I love the feature and hope I can continue to use it for a long time - with adapters. :-) However, if I lost my Version 3, I would buy a Version 4 in a heartbeat. I cannot travel without it… AND I love the magnetic phone pocket.

If I wasn’t taking a rollerbag to set this bag on, then I’d have to use a backpack as my only personal item/carryon. I can no longer carry a heavy shoulder or crossbody bag without hurting my already-injured back.

I don't need to pack it full to capacity as you did for the video, but I will need a personal item backpack that can hold enough for a couple of days here and there so that I won't have to take my carry-on suitcase everywhere during my upcoming 5 week trip.

I have the mini convertible weekender bag. I’m taking a weekend trip in a few weeks for wedding in NY. I’m trying to figure out if I should take this as my personal item as I heard Frontier is very strict. I am just scared it will be too heavy to carry on my shoulder throughout the airport. Did you end up using this as your personal item on the United flight?

So sad I missed out on the version with backpack straps. Bought a Bowen several years ago and was eying the new one, saw this video, but the new one doesn’t have backpack straps. The old one I have also doesn’t have backpack straps

The currently available Bowen bag doesn't seem to have the backpack straps...a huge disappointment. Those straps set it apart in a good way from the Bento.

I bought this bag from Amazon, and upon arrival I loved it! The brown is a beautiful color, a nuanced-heathery brown. But I had to return it; my 5.6" laptop was a hair too big for the laptop pouch. I could get the zipper over one corner, but not the other. If only the height was a quarter inch more...

This may be an older model. The bag in the Herschel website no longer has the backpack straps and the shoulder strap is thicker and padded on their website

I don’t understand why there isn’t a standard size bag for traveling. Seems like each airline has their own measurements. It’s frustrating.

The only thing I don’t like is that it has no feet, but it functions the same as the Nomad Lane bag.

Thank you for your review. It is always great to see the features of a bag for help in deciding if it is the bag for you. While I love the price point and that it is a clamshell open, to me it doesn’t have the accessibility features necessary for a personal item. Having to open the bag clamshell style in flight to access your laptop, an iPad or hoodie would be inconvenient to me and the person sitting next to me. I much prefer the ability to access those items via a top zipper like in the Bento bag. Still, I appreciate the review as I now know to keep looking.

One thing I'm finding is it's hard to fit my 15.6" laptop in this laptop compartment.
