This looks like a blast!! I wonder what the survivability of a gyro vs an ultralight vs something like a paramotor..
I'm going to say a gyro with centerline thrust like the Dominator would be safer than an ultralight and paramotor. Now a gyro without centerline thrust could get you in trouble if your not carful.

--Pretty good. And very good flying at the pro level. I enjoyed watching the stunt flying as well. But can you imagine Barry flying his machine over your house at 2am in the middle of the night. And buzzing your whole block of homes of people sleeping.

Awsome flight performace. This should be a demo at the Reno Air Races! I have plans and started a Dominator single-seat several years ago, but got distracted by work. Now ready to get back into the project and find that RFD is out of business. Are there any builders in a support group who can give advice? Where can I get parts?

Whats happening with Dominator? Anyone else taken up the building and selling them. Kits? Plans? Ernie seems to have just given up. They are just to good to let go. I build Dominators here in NZ, still

@@electricaviationchannelvid7863 It's a gyrocopter, not a helicopter - the rotor is unpowered.
I was under the impression Ernie RETIRED years ago...like 2018 when he sold off RFD to the guy in NJ who's done absolutely zip with the business since. I met that guy at Oshkosh the same year my Yamaha Apex conversion won all the STOL contests and powered the Lindy "Best in Show - LSA" built by Steve Henry, after he flew it there from Idaho (wakey wakey Greg S.). Whatever that guy's name is, he couldn't be bothered talking to me, blew me off completely, so I learned very little about him, his company & plans for the future. But he sure acted like he was turd king turd of the hill.

I neither a pilot not an engineer; however, I am getting very interested in Gyro aircraft. It is now my understanding that a well balanced rotor should not have any stick shake. I also understand that a constant stick shake may cause metal fatigue, as well as flying fatigue. Therefore, in so many videos I notice a great deal of stick shake in those gyros. Is that endemic to this crafts?
How do you get approval to fly an ultralight here?
