I’m sure there was some kind of a underlying plot, but just not a good one. The story is good, but whoever did the narration I felt like I was watching a soap opera. It could’ve had so much pizzazz and exciting. I was getting sleepy and sleepier.

At first the Vectin War Leader was overconfident, having never lost a battle in his career. However, the Terran fleet's massive and superior firepower was able to overwhelm the Vectin's defenses. Powerful plasma bolts from the battleships burned through the bio-matter that made up the Vectin ship's hulls. And when Vectin reinforcements tried to arrive through the system's single Hypergate, the Terren ships simply blockaded the gate and picked them off one by one as they appeared. Only a single Vectin ship escaped, the War Leader's flagship. He returned home in disgrace, and was stripped of his titles and rank, living out his days in his family's home waiting for death to claim him. A Vectin counter-attack was also intercepted by another Terran battle fleet and destroyed. All the other major races were stunned. These upstart terrans, with less than two centuries of space travel, had managed to defeat a thousand-year-old empire. They had never seen a species so adaptable, creative, reckless, and determined, as the terrans simply refused to accept being inferior. The galaxy had changed forever, as a new superpower was born....
