Critical Role [Ep. 97] - Kiki vs The Cliff
I ran some stats on 150d6, and 363 is so low as to be astronomically unlikely. Matt probably did an approximate roll like 10*15d6 or something. It should hover around 525, give or take...60 in 99% of the cases.
I’m confused Matt said the altitude was 65 feet so by his statement of d6 per 10ft fall damage at max velocity assuming the remaining 5 feet hypothetically was the distance for keyfish to reach MV, so most damage possible it’d be 36 so I am assuming I miss heard or there is something I am missing. I wanna take this as a reference to start as a dm for fall dmg
this whole scene is so dumb, she literally couldnt die from that fall. max damage is 20d6. 120. she had more hp then that. One of the dumbest calls I have seen mercer make.
they all look like such nerds in this i love them so much
I give credit to him forever that Matt allowed his then-girlfriend to make a fool of herself on screen in front of thousands. That is some hardcore DM dedication.
Travis; “just let her do it “ Matt: “okay make an athletics check” Travis: OH THANK GOD
This one moment is the reason I can remember fall damage is d6 per 10 ft. 😂
Marisha has a cute laugh.
They need to do this in the Vox Machina anime show
The craziest thing to me is that if it was Grog who jumped not only would he have survived that fall but if he raged he would still be conscious. God I love barbarians
Absolutely can't wait for this to go to screen. best Clif dive ever
Underrated element of this video is Keyleth's character sheet being up the entire time and showing off her status. Like "yep. character has 22 wisdom and this is what they do with it."
Moore Brian Hernandez George Allen Amy
Classic case of What The F Did You THINK Was Gonna Happen?!
Funnier when you think about her being completely able to turn into a bird at anytime and avoid all the damage
22 wisdom huh? 🤨
I just love that instead of turning into I don’t know, a BIRD, or anything that can fly…Keyleth turned into a goldfish lmfao
Keyleth spits in the Raven Queen's face. The Raven Queen takes her champion.
Can we talk about how adorable Ashley looked this episode. Just like a little sister so excited to play with all her older siblings friends 😂😂
I think one of the best parts of this is Marisha actually cackling the entire time, not realizing she’s LITERALLY falling to her death. And THEN, still cackling as an immediate reaction to her very obviously telegraphed death 😂
“Don’t chuck my dice in anger!” *clutching his scalp* “I’m not angry!!”
This is proof that Critical Role is not scripted. Because there’s no way Matt would script his players dying in such an easily avoided way.
can't WAIT to see this animated on prime😂😂
Was just about to say that!
I’m gonna argue an air f*cking Air Ashari would know a bird wouldn’t be killed in this situation….
I love D&D so much
That 22 wisdom is a lie.
Back when Sam was not on his phone 2/3 of the time.
I'm sorry, but that cackle at 6:23 is KILLING me! XD
lol Matt rolling 100d6 on his phone is iconic
Directly went back here after LOVM Season 3 release date was announced with Travis teasing "We're basically gods"
I cant wait for this to be animated
All these years and I still just go “why not a bird why is goldfish your first idea while falling”
The first and perhaps only real choice and consequence.
"yOu ArE lYiNg"
Marisha: "I would just bamf back" Matt: "and any additional damage would go over" Marisha: "yeah I know" Matt: "you ded" Marisha: "im dead? Instead of bamfing back?" Dense as the rock she hit.
The best few seconds is from the moment she realizes she's dead until the moment Matt clarifies that she can be brought back to life. Marisha's ego crumbling 😂
Marisha ALWAYS blames everyone but herself.
Marisha has got to be sub-70 IQ. She's lucky she can live off of her boyfriend/friends, otherwise she would probably live in a shoebox somewhere.
I just had to come back to this. I still think abt this scene. I think of this whenever I read abt a cliff, see a cliff, see a photo of a cliff. This was AMAZING. Marisha and therefore Keyleith is a legend. 🫡. One of the best scenes of Campaign 1. Fight me on that
The absolute best part of this video: @4:00 TRAVIS: "Did you say 'We're gods'?! Why would you even TEMPT that shit right now??"
man kills wife with rocks
“It’s like dropping a red velvet cake from 100 floors up!” Is a criminally underrated line 😂😂😂
"by hitting rocks?" You jumped 1000 feet off of a cliff directly onto a jagged cliff side. Yes. By hitting rocks lmao wtf
Where’s Withers when ya need him ☠️
Show this to anyone who says Critical Role is scripted You physically couldn't script shit like this if you tried
Vex: "Yeaaahhh, there's a treasure down heeere! Can you swim and get it for me!" Kay: "YEAH! Oh, yeah! I'll be right downnn!" (One Tennessee) (Two Tennessee) (Three Tennessee) BAM! Druid faceplants into the ground beside Vex. Vex: morale check to stop from screaming uncontrollably
7:19 "Don't touch my dice in anger." -- That's friends for life, right there. Anything less, and it would have been "DON'T TOUCH MY DICE!" {disemboweling noises}
Laura "don't touch my dice in anger" Bailey everyone
"Fish are not magnetically attracted to water. They still just fall." - Sam Riegel
Marisha meets accountability for her actions, and it hit with the same velocity as Keyleth did with the rocks. This campaign was gold.
Shortlived, unfortunately.
