    I am a student watching this video to observe the interactions for an assignment and I have to say do not fallow this caregivers example. There is so many things they do wrong that I have written down. There is no free play, children are being yelled at in the background, types of play are mislabeled, and the caregivers are stopping the children from experiencing things on their own that leads to a lot of developmental growth. Many children are being ignored and every instance of play is adult driven not child driven.

    that little girl Leah/Aleah whatever they are saying, the shy one, is so so so sweet, quiet, such a good little girl. I adore her i just want to take her aside and play with her one on one where she would not look so scared and uncomfortable. you can tell she id afraid during the paper glueing and just isn’t comfortable with groups yet, seems like this daycare is not the best fit for her or maybe she is too young she looks way younger than the others.

    • @gemmawilson9227
      @gemmawilson9227 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately that is what a lot of Daycares are like. The quieter/shy children are often pushed to aside or ignored by the staff or forced into situations that make them anxious that they don't want to be in (like group activities) It doesn't help that in settings like these, children are usually forced to socialise or "be part of the group" when it comes to activities which isn't good for the children who are quieter and would prefer to play alone/ do activities 1-1. This is why children with Autism and ADHD struggle in settings like these because they are just not understood by most of the staff , they are forced to socialise/ be around others when they don't want to be and they are sometimes labeled "challenging" or "difficult" leading to them not getting the support they need. I worked in a Day Nursery (UK equivalent of a daycare) and I didn't enjoy it because of reasons like that. I loved being with the children but seeing how children with special needs or children with introverted personalities were treated by most of the staff it really put me off and I won't be working in a setting like this again. I think it doesn't help the silly group mindset that a lot of these places have, the education system really needs to learn that not all children like being in a group and some children prefer to learn 1-1 and children with additional needs are usually better learning 1-1 . Unfortunately most settings are not like that which is why I won't work in a day nursery again or any education setting . Sorry for the long reply, I think your comment was really sweet because you noticed that little girl and picked up on how she was feeling 😊

    anyone else feel like/agree with me that me that all these kids have higher levels of anxiety and naughty behaviors once they leave and go back home due to the hectic environment and totally spastic energy here, ‘way too much. these kids senses are probably wayyyyy to over stimulated to the point its driving them nuts. Cuz it def makes me feel that way lol…..Not trying to be rude i just sense alot of anxiety and chaotic feelings in these kids and can see it on their faces too.

  • @kyleewebster5964
    @kyleewebster5964 ปีที่แล้ว

    read slower and in different voices, they aren’t interested because you are going way to fast and un antimated wowww, girl needs more experience doesn’t she? this place has zero structure and It overwhelms me So badky i want to be there to help these children like,,…so bad. let the children tale turns turning the book pages, ask them to point to things in the book ask questions and have them interacting more, i realize this is yrs old so i desperately hope these daycare “teachers” made some changes on their end for the sake of these children….sad. just sad as ever. …

    When the child was climbing the window cill he was trying to look outside. You told him “no you can’t do that”. He dropped to the floor crying. Once he calmed down he went over to the window with a friend and were pointing to the window saying outside. He then walked over to you, put his hand up and you picked him up and brought him over to the window to show him how beautiful it was outside. You need to adapt your environment before blaming the child for behavior. There should be a better way for them to see outside of that window. The child was using his gross motor skills to solve the problem of not being able to see and you prohibited him from being able to explore nature as well as his own body. You picked him up and showed him outside which did not encourage his development. You could have picked him up when he initially was trying to climb the window cill because that’s all that he needed. Scolding him for his behavior did not teach him anything. I suggest perhaps having a small indoor climbing structure near the windows so that the children can both exercise their gross motor skills as well as observe what is going on outside. He just wanted to see the snow and by saying “no you can’t do that!” The child thinks their teacher does not want them to look outside. Adjust the environment not the child.

    • @linm7324
      @linm7324 ปีที่แล้ว

      Having a climbing structure near a window is perhaps the most unsafe thing to have in a classroom and is 100% prohibited. The teacher handled it well.

      These are poorly uneducated young adults completely swamped by lots of young children doing their best. They probably have favourites but ultimately none of the toddlers recieve the special attention they would have if their Mother's were looking after them instead
