I have zebra finches. They are so funny. When they try to take something and fly up to the nest and drop straight down because it's too heavy. Funny to watch. I usually end up helping them out.

how did you tame them? Hand feeding from baby or do you have him from adult age?
I had him when he was a juvenile 🤗💫
You keep them in a cage next to you and you talk to them. When you reach into the cage to clean, don't try to pet them or anything, that'll lose you trust. After they get used to you and the cage a little bit, release them. They'll be spooked and probably fly somewhere inaccessible. Doesn't matter, keep them out. After some time they'll get back into the cage, so you can lockup for the night. If they don't, they will at some point. Keep releasing them in your room over and over, they'll come to you eventually. This won't work if you live somewhere away from their cage though, or if you release them into a large house where they can go wherever they want. They are curious creatures that love to interact with you and other objects. I had a small panda toy, about the size of a finch, with arms stretched out. They used to go to it and hug it, it was adorable. They evidently felt safe with it and destressed, they suddenly would become chlled out and relaxed. Edit: bonus points for not getting them from a random shop, rather a responsible breeder that you know the birds got used to - people at shops tend to tap on their glass or cage and it scares them, possibly leading to harder taming
