This is a channel my off-roading adventures. The Jeep is a 2000 TJ that I got when I turned 15. It started out stock, and I have done everything to it and, of course, plan to do more. The complete build can be found through the REVKIT link provided.

I’ve seen several discussions on manual versus automatic in off-roading. I’m no experienced off-roader myself so I’m not at all blaming the driver of the red 4-Runner. I could really feel his struggle 😳 I guess it is a matter of preference in the end, but my stand in the discussion got confirmed in this video, that automatic has an advantage over manual.
I feel the same way. Manuals do have there place if properly equipped with really low gears to slowly crawl, but autos have much more forgiveness and adaptability to the style of off-roading.
Manuals are at a gigantic disadvantage. That is just common wheeling knowledge. Anyone who is serious about rock crawling would never run a manual by choice. They all run auto transmissions. I feel like the idea that Manual is cooler or skill based is dumb. I would rather be safe and enjoy harder lines. Not worrying about stalling or using a rev limiter to keep the RPMS high.

On the TJ what air pressure are you running?
I was at 6psi front and rear.
Nice excursion. I cant tell what tires size and lift from the video. Any specs?
The Excursion has a 6" lift and 37s.

Haven’t gotten very far but so far it looks like my 6” lifted Bronco with 35’s would murder this trail
Your Bronco would do great on this trail. My TJ has a 4" lift with 35's.
CloneCommands how much experience would you say is required?
@@chrissagredo7129 I would say little experience is fine for the beginning. The further up the trail you go, the more experience I would say is required.
CloneCommands hmm interesting. Finishing up some repairs on the truck after it sat, looking for a good trail to start learning to wheel on. Love the scenery this one offers
