Our missions is to forge unbreakable athletes in mind, body, and spirit. We build the athlete's head by improving their Mindset, their Knowledge of their sport, and how they work with Teammates. We build the athlete's body by improving their physical Training, their Nutrition, and their Recovery. We hunt weaknesses. And we identify daily targets for athletes Mindset, Knowledge, Teammates, Training, Nutrition, and Recovery. We build people inch by inch and doing so is how we WIN THE DAY.

OUTSTANDING!!! Not an athlete yet his “the order of 3” message is game changing. You have to hear it!!!
I so much respect for Alison! Despite the fact that her feet hit the board on her first dive in Paris, she persevered realizing she could turn one of her own darkest moments into a very powerful message for so many others. It’s not at all surprising that one of her favorite quotes is Eleanor Roosevelt’s “You must do the things you think you cannot do,”
This guest was able to convince me of the exact opposite position I’ve held forever regarding team sports. I used to believe, “There is no ‘I’ in team.” I now know that the best coaches realize it’s imperative to draw the absolute best out of each person. Each individual’s worth must be tapped for the betterment of the whole team. I never considered that the best people are both servants AND leaders. I learned a lot!
Jim and Lucas take this episode to share what they are grateful for in 2024 and what their favorite Thanksgiving and Christmas experiences have included. They fantasize who some future podcasts could include, with all of this episode revealing more and more about the two of them.
Great to hear from a professional athlete and to hear about some of the things they go through!
This podcast was very informative and quite entertaining at the same time. Mr. Riddick traced his life from high school through his time at Notre Dame, his NFL career, right up until the present as a father of three. He was candid explaining the good, the bad, and the ugly. I appreciated his explanations on his personal keys to success including the benefits of film study, recovery, acting like a sponge, and learning from others’ mistakes. He has no ego getting in his way. I respect him for his honesty and felt enlightened.
Yah he had awesome insights and was a cool dude. Lots of fun with this one.
Kennys awesome! 🤙🔱
Got an awful lot out of this in terms of “words of wisdom” and advice. Jeremy talked about a 3-step approach to accomplishments; i.e., understand the human brain is wired to seek the path of least resistance, have a very clear goal, and an “at stake” if you fail. Out of all his “words of wisdom,” Matthew 7:13-14 “Find the narrow gate for yourself,” I hope to never forget!
Glad to hear that it spoke to you!!! Trusting you are having a wonderful start to the new year!
This episode is for those in strength and power training wanting to know what’s behind the instructions being preached to them as they train. Bill delivered facts based on research he studied of those with doctorates in the field. He elaborated on the connections between VBT, neurology, and fascia training. He sounds as if he’s studied it all, but he would tell you there’s still more he could learn. In his company he has set a very high standard believing in constantly over delivering the product. He’s a gentleman and a scholar!
I think the fact that this doctor is also an athlete enables her to be one of the most qualified doctors to ever diagnose and treat concussions. There have to be “brain” doctors not as willing as she might be to become 100% aware of the athlete’s desire to return to the sport. She stated that she must determine from the athlete how much he or she loves the sport, how successful the athlete is at the particular sport , and finally what the athlete envisions with the continuation of the sport into the future. It is so obvious that she incorporates more than just medicine in her practice, and it seems that her own interests in being physically successful and fit make her a gem in her field.
Jeremy’s family took him to a gym the summer before he entered 6th grade. For that he will always be grateful and always willing to train anyone and everyone who comes to him and is willing to work hard. He believes no matter who you are, how strong and accomplished you are, there’s still more to achieve. Everyone he trains benefits from that belief.
Loved it. Very accomplished in every area of his life and not just by chance. Constantly evaluating and thus, evolving. Discussed building mental resiliency, and also the value of incorporating one’s real and true perspective and purposes in life, as if they are parts of one’s DNA.
This guy seems to have figured out how to have a totally fulfilled life. He talks about “saving” your willpower for things in the day that will be the most difficult to pull off. He talks about making promises to yourself and the more times you don’t break your promises to yourself, the more confidence you will have going forward to do what’s difficult. Struck me as a man of integrity from whom I had a lot to gain.
Obviously he has figured out every aspect of building successful baseball players. He’s humble and strikes me as wise way beyond his 42 years. Well worth the listen!
“Not dead, can’t quit!” Will remember his favorite mantra for sure and apply it.
What a great episode for the podcast!
Impressive ability to self motivate. Being female I benefited from her elaboration on “food is fuel.”
Dude is legit. Love this one
Not only has college coaching totally figured out but probably has most of life figured out as well.
Incredibly impressive coach-he couldn’t possibly steer you nor your child wrong.
Enlightened on everything regarding Juicing. She obviously believes in its merits, which she very convincingly expounds upon, but still is willing to meet each person where he or she might be. Her personal goal is to wake up each morning happy and full of energy, and her beliefs have guaranteed her that result.
Very inspirational lady, genuine, total giver of herself expecting nothing in return. Loved her aspiration to someday own 2 gyms next door to each other with younger family members training in one building, parents training in the next, all going home to enjoy a great dinner TOGETHER. I feel like at 36 she already has figured out the keys to a truly meaningful life.
Great conversation between three sincere men.
Thanks for having us on the show Jim. Always a great conversation when we sit down with you!!
Lots of valuable advice from these athletes. They have finally convinced me, when nobody else around me has been able to, that meditation truly has its benefits, athlete or not. I'll do it. Appreciated this quote, "When everyone does better, everyone does better,"--be a team player.
Glad we could convince you to give mediation a go Kathleen!! When everybody does better everyone does better!! ;) Thanks for sharing!
Not into power lifting, so I’m not going to sustain an injury in the process. However heard Cody say something about how to move forward in that situation, that could pertain to any life injury/setback. Do an accurate assessment, be realistic, come up with an achievable plan going forward and look optimistically to the future.
Thucydides: 'The secret to happiness is freedom...And the secret to freedom is courage.' --grateful to have heard this famous quote on this podcast
As long as he's alive and able to move, I am certain there is no personal goal Jeff will not achieve. He's done so much that only a very strong mind and body can accomplish. He even bothered to state that, "What didn't kill him made him stronger." Anyone still needing that final push to accomplish something that he/she hasn't been quite able to pull off, need only listen to Jeff Gum. He'll get you through it, no doubt!
Very smooth conversation including real life advice: learn one new thing every day and have your own personal “board of directors” where you can bounce off ideas and concerns of every aspect of your life.
Didn't know I could enjoy hearing someone speak about boxing; was amazed to learn how important it can be to respect your opponent to the extent of exchanging warm conversation before the match. This lady is really a class act and also a co-founder of "Rock Steady Boxing" where those inflicted with Parkinson's can train and immensely improve their quality of life.
Sportsmanship. 👊❤️👊
Anxious to hear her.
Heard great advice for life--no room for victim mentality, what are you going to do to combat an injustice, and when you aren't successful in your endeavor, don't let yourself forget how you felt in that very moment. Also inspired to check out the book, "The Untold History of the U.S."
It was my privilege to listen to this patriot! As a Navy SEAL at the time of 911, he experienced it all, and it is so obvious that he is an incredible American with an invaluable viewpoint on how to live in this great country.
This podcast I believe ACCURATELY describes the Summit happening on June 22nd at Unbreakable Athletics Academy. Athletes, coaches, students in exercise science can come and get their questions answered in just minutes, problems solved, issues they would like to discuss, discussed with people in the know. You will learn that processes can be personalized so you will be better than your competition. In body scans, vendors giving away products you will appreciate, CEUs available, etc.etc.--an event I believe that will deliver on its promises.
No matter who you are, stop whatever you are doing right now and listen to this episode on resiliency. In so doing, no matter how accomplished you are, your life can still get better!
I liked the fact that Mr. Moran stated his belief that as a coach you can do all the planning and know the metrics, but if you don’t get to know the personality of the athlete, you are not going to be all that successful .
Sad..ur a joke to the units
And who are you?
It's not necessary to be an athlete to benefit from this podcast. Doesn't matter if he's working with Ball State's football team, at home with his family, or any place else, his mentality is always, "give me the problem, we'll figure it out." Nothing's impossible. Once you've been kicked, you're now equipped to handle anything!
Was my strength coach at Oak Hill high school my senior year. Great coach and even better role model!
Yah. He clearly has his act together!
I don't live in Indiana, but if I did, I would be most grateful for my child to be attending a high school employing a Strength and Conditioning Coach. After listening to this podcast I realize high school students are probably going to benefit even more so than a college student might from the same type of coach. Arron Miller is dedicated to building not just the best athlete but also the strongest mind. He leads by example and recommended the book, "It Takes What It Takes: How to Think Neutrally and Gain Control of Your Life." It was strongly recommended by the hosts as well. Matthew Kelly's Self Help books were highly praised also.
He’s bad ass! Lucky to have him.
When I was first introduced to this man about 1 1/2 years ago, I was told he mentors athletes. Because of what I know about the guy who chose him as a mentor, I just naturally assumed he was good. Today I found out just how good. He is pretty much a self made man, and truly a "Man for Others." He takes no shortcuts and expects no favors. I loved his philosophy captured in this slogan, "You are not born a winner, you are not born a loser, you are born a chooser and a sinner."
This one hit such a personal note for me and undoubtedly will be that way for many listeners. Thank you to the three of you for talking about this content!!
Incredible 1.5 hours' worth of advice for every day life, for everyone, not just the athlete. This man experienced it all, including almost his own death, and the world is truly a better place with him in it!
What a great episode, definitely worth the listen!!
Love the two sport mindset! Great listen!!!
Personally know one of his patients with 2 now perfect knees. Highly credentialed, no ego, part of a very successful practice. Able to answer anything and everything he was asked during the podcast.
Great episode!! Simple question: Are you committed? 💯💯
Make sure to give this episode a watch!!
Right out of the gate he had my attention. He was severely wounded as a result of having served our country and if that wasn’t enough his car was hit by a “full” cement truck. If I’m wounded, am in the hospital, told I’m not going to be walking for 3 weeks, I’m not contradicting the staff and boldly saying I’ll be walking in 1 week. That’s what he said, and that’s what he did. When he’s coaching you he wants to know only your intent. He knows that is what matters most in the end. High integrity man!
This is a really interesting one if you’re a football fan and are curious about strength training through high school, college, and then in the NFL ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A HOOSIER!
