Thank you quite informative , do you use drones during the construction process ?
How sweet. How many visits to ccma?
We have beautiful farmland in my area getting converted to this. So sad.
I love it we can finally stop using oil to make electricity and instead get it from something that does not pollute our world.
@@retna1x363 put it in your back yard
It's beautiful ❤️
Sorry but much of the world's farmlands are *far* from beacons of environmentalism. Agricultural farms will more than likely deteriorate the land much harder than a solar farm would. Agricultural farms are major sources of pesticide & fertilizer run off, animal waste runoff including methane. Constant churning of the soil erodes top soil decreasing micro biodiversity as well as releases CO₂ that have been captured from dead plants and foliage. From The World Wildlife Fund: "When agriculture fields replace natural vegetation, topsoil is exposed and can dry out. The diversity and quantity of microorganisms that help to keep the soil fertile can decrease, and nutrients may wash out. Soil can be blown away by the winds or washed away by rains." From The National Family Farm Coalition: "Due to intensive farming practices, nearly half of all productive topsoil has disappeared in the last 150 years. In the US, topsoil is eroding 10 times more rapidly than it can be replaced. Fertilizers, with voluminous untreated animal waste from factory farms, are polluting ground and surface water across the country." Contrast this with the land on the acreage of solar panels will enjoy a *much* more peaceful life for the *decades* that a solar farm is in operation. Solar farms can be replenished indefinitely with new and better solar panels so can actually exist indefinitely. Solar farms require practically zero material inputs and outputs. They exist in a practically "passive state" over the land with their sealed solid-state electronics. They can be dry brush cleaned _without water_ robotically or by human crews or a combination. Even so, there is the concept of "agrivoltaics" where solar panels are _purposefully_ placed over farming land. This saves on water with shade and allows many plants to actually grow _more abundantly_ and with _more quality_ due to less heat stress from excessive sun. Plants get stressed out by too much sunlight and will pull more water from the soil in an effort cool itself off and ward off sun tissue damage which wastes water.
Please send me your contact details. Thank you.
solar farms KILLING the ground cause off the permanent shadow from the sun.. the ground need sun , if kept at the shadow NOTHING will grow after years..

Traffic from PTA-North to town is already a bugger-up. Now it is going to get worse. Why don't they link the Mabopane Highway with some of the existing roads thast leads south, straight to Johannesburg. That way there will be another direct link from Pretoria-North to Johannesburg, cutting out Pretoria CBD. More access routes are needed from Pretoria-North to the South. Currently Pretoria-North, Shoshanguve, Hammanskraal, Mabopane Rosslyn, Orchards, Chantelle, Brits and other major expansions have only the Mabopane Highway,Wonderboompoort and the old Voortrekkerweg routes that leads south. All of these routes are congested and all of them leads through Pretoria CBD in order to travel to JHB. WE NEED A DIRECT LINK FROM THE WESTERN PRETORIA NORTH AREAS THAT LEADS SOUTH TO JOHANNESBURG NOT ANOTHER DAMN SHOPPING MALL. WAKE UP!
Why doesn't this have more views?
because the algorithm doesn't reward information it rewards things that are shareable and clickbait
Oh, wow, inspiring, sad. I live in Scotland UK and my first visit to South Africa to photograph (no fee) a familiarisation visit for 20 international conference buyers hosted by Cape Town Convention Bureau. We will have passed by so close on a trip to the cape. I just posted a video and came across yours - beautifully done. My wife and I wanted to make a township visit and had heard great things. However we didn't have the time on our last day of a hectic itinerary and so through your video I have learnt a tiny bit to correct our ignorance. Randy - seemed the epitome of the warm friendly people of the Cape Town area.
