Living Coast Discovery Center is a nonprofit zoo and aquarium located in Chula Vista, California, just six miles south of downtown San Diego! Our videos feature some of our aquatic species like sea turtles and octopus, reptiles, and birds like owls, hawks, and falcons. Saving the Endangered Ridgway's Rail
Supporting an endangered species can't be done alone. It takes a village to raise a rail and we all play a part in the breeding, raising, and reintroduction of rails throughout Southern California.Team Clapper Rail is comprised of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, California Fish & Wildlife, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, SeaWorld San Diego, Newport Bay Conservancy, and the Living Coast.
