    His alledged ties with the Germans would not be logical, for it was a German that invented the diesel engine in 1893: Rudolf Diesel, who died in 1913 under suspicioous circumstances. However, more inventions by otters were needed to make the diesel engine usable for transport etc.

    The 2nd entry to the Indianapolis 500 was also interesting. Qualified for the pole position and was leading in the race. It was forced to drop out midway in the race because the air intake was located too close to the ground and was sucking in too much road debris to continue racing.

    So basically, if you come across a “crackpot” who hates the government, they’ll become one of the most successful people. Basically don’t follow laws and go against whatever your teachers say, and you’ll do well. My question? Why are these government workers in charge, when time after time, they’ve proven to know little, hold back progress and cause more problems than they solve.

    8:28 Germany most certainly did not need tutoring in diesel engine technology. On the contrary, Cummins and Mack used the Lanova injection process which was invented by Franz Lang a German ingeneer.

    • @garywalker8493
      @garywalker8493 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Cummins used a modified version to avoid Lang's patents at the time. But as is almost always the case with widely used technologies, innovations come from a number of different sources. One of Cummins best innovations historically has been in their fuel system that avoids the need for a high pressure distributor style fuel pump. They have had their bone-headed moments too.

    • @heavymaticyt
      @heavymaticyt 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Cummins Foundation and Cummings Foundation are two totally different foundations. The Cummins Foundation was created in 1954, 35 years after Cummins was founded. It was one of the earliest corporate foundations and serves as the company's charitable giving organization. This vision started with Cummins’ former Chairman and CEO J. Irwin Miller. Joyce and Bill Cummings established Cummings Foundation, Inc. in 1986. At that time, the commercial real estate firm Bill founded in 1970, Cummings Properties, was thriving, and the Winchester, Massachusetts couple decided they wanted to give back in the Greater Boston areas where the growing business operated and where its staff and clients lived.

Dont people realize that EV's need to have their batteries charged BY THE POWER GRID THAT STILL RUNS ON FOSSIL FUELS where as hydrogen can be made out of rain water. SMH the automotive industry as well as many other need to wake up and see the potential Hydrogen instead of waking up to the burning Lithium packs.

    Ah yes more UAW BS oh we want more though we have a very easy job, I dont mind unions but the UAW they are a load of blue voting greddy scum that would ring a company dry to the point where the company would go belly up because the workers want 5 more minutes for their break time, Or want a $5 raise even though they are already making $40 an hour to stand in 1 spot and put 1 part on a car going down the assembly line... Its not wonder they are getting replaced by machines more and more.

    It's impossible to overstate the extent to which Allis Chalmers' identity was intertwined with that of the City of West Allis. My grandmother worked there (as did other family members) and A-C's mighty forges could be heard and felt inside her house day and night. Probably close to half my high school graduating class went to work at Allis Chalmers, which had promised generations of their families lifelong careers. They would be the first to be betrayed by that promise. A-C built World War II military high-speed tractors (tracked transports, not agricultural machines), and scores of other products involving everything from munitions to mechanical components. Though they didn't know it at the time, A-C's workers produced a large number of components for the Manhattan Project. Even as a child, I remember plant windows still painted over from the security-conscious days of WWII. It's so tragic to drive through the footprint of the plant campus and see that strip malls have supplanted foundries and fast-food workers standing in the footprints of skilled machinists. I can only hope that our nationwide shortsightedness and mismanagement will someday be replaced by an appreciation for experience, skill and hard work. I'm not holding my breath.
