@@Un.knowns That is up to you. This is an audio edit rather than a cover (from my understanding a cover is when a new artist makes their own version of the song). If you find making stuff like this fun, and want to share it with the world, go for it! If you are trying to make money, edits of songs and anime is a competitive field. I am not monetized. I suspect that most who do this aren’t, though there are some big channels that might be. I don’t want to discourage you though. If I started my channel all over, I would have come up with a clearer plan of what I wanted to do. Obviously you don’t have to stick to a plan if there comes up new interests that you want to make videos of. My own channel has evolved as I have figured out what I like and what gets views. I often post stuff that I know won’t get many views (like this short) because I enjoy making stuff like this. Other times I will post stuff that I know will get more views (like scenes from anime edited into memes. I still like creating those, but if I were to ever focus on them it would be for subs). You know what forget the plan. Like don’t forget it, but leave room for it to evolve. You will learn a lot about video editing and creating better content during the weeks months and years after you start. I hope to someday get monetized, but I mainly do this for fun. That is the position and perspective I am coming from. I am sorry for thé long ramble. I hope this helps! If you have more questions let me know! 😊 Edit: I have thought about it, and I think the only way I could get realistically get monetized with the type of channel I am running is by focusing on AMVs (anime music videos) I only have one really successful AMV (one based around Hawks with the song “Wonderland”), but it has over 900 watch hours. I need at least 3,000 to get monetized. I do not know what exactly made it successful or how to replicate it, but I have ideas. Of course making AMVs like that is a lot of work. Even if I did get monetized it is unlikely to be much at all. Just extra spending cash. I am working a jewelry making channel right now to promote my Etsy shop to hopefully turn the two combined into a side hustle. The issue is my health. I started a designing jewelry series on there that was picking up steam but I had to take a break due to health reasons. I am sorry you don’t need to know my life story. My goal is to have fun while eventually earning a side income but I have no idea what your goals are. I should have started with finding out your goals. What your goals are will shape what you should do. 😊

I don’t plan to do it for any kind of money, because that’s not my forte- and honestly, the main reason I’ve asked you is because I know you listened to the stuff I posted before- so I was curious. And, again, thank you for your advice! I think I will, unfortunately I’m still unsure when, but I do plan to at *some* point
