When you mine the cave exotics, it triggers 3 more nodes which is why the brief said search the area as an option. You ran past another exotic node. At 45:01, just above and slightly right of the yellow bar with the operation name near the top of the cliff (jump down from the cliff top). There were 3 more nodes, which is why the brief said search the area as an option. The one at 45:01 the next was east and slightly north of the node on the cliff at 45:01 in a 'hole' and the last was to the north in the crevasse. The 3 nodes described an equilateral triangle.. This was a prospect that people used to speed run for exotics. Done in pairs, it was very efficient. 1 mined the cave, another would be ready to take the 2 southern nodes. If you were properly kitted out from the station, you could harvest lots of exotics per hour. If you do a search for this mission you shuold be able to find one from a year or so ago. Icarusintel will also show you.

"You can have 2 drink buffs..." That is a great tip. I knew I can have multiple food buffs, plus some buffs that do not take stomach slot (e.g. +25% speed lollypop) but I had no idea I can have multiple drinks.

I really hope it wasn't fixed. Who needs squishy moa, when you can have turbocharged tank? :D

Great episode! For those type of missions I definitely go the jousting route, even with multiple bears it’s a Bit easier when you get them all on one accord and following you. I also like the name Bruno from the other commenter! 😊

Hey, great idea for a series! Looking forward to see how it will go. Regarding rules: - if you get a reward for mission that is from tier 3, is that fair game to use it or will you drop it? - very much appreciate no Icarus Intel approach. Hope community will not spoil it in comments by pointing where to go exactly - how flexible you want to make the game play in terms of immersion? Is building temporary spikes and such when fighting monsters on mission allowed? How about building temporary structures like elevated floors to keep mount safe? Comment on lights. Since your base spot is in shadows for some time you may need some more torches. Not just for immersion, but also from purely technical point. It is kinda hard to see the base inside when you are with torch/lantern off, even with fire place and smelters on. And there will be no glass to allow more natural light in Oh, and the buffalo... Why not just take the opportunity and call next one Bill? 😁

I am excited about this. I just might do this as well. I know of a great ravein in this area. I will find the map quadrant's and send them to you. Paul Bunyan's bull (blue ox ) was Babe. Bruno, Bubba, Maverick, and Zeus.

Regular shotgun shells might be better against bats. Pellets, ~30dmg each. Slugs require more careful aiming which is quite difficult with multiple fast flying beasts :)

These bigger worms look like overgrown goa'uld :)

Thank you for awesome series! Tip for bear fighting/jousting: you have to turn back earlier, the moment that bear runs past you. Bear will keep running for a little bit more and you will have quite some time to aim and shoot.

I've started playing Icarus again after a 1yr hiatus where I only played for about 10hrs before life got into the way. So thank you for getting me interested again. Any reason you didn't mine the exotic node when in the cave doing the spelunking mission? You were standing right next to it when mining some iron nodes.

They say there is a "wood to coal" process but it is slow and resource heavy (lots of wood to very little coal). Apparently you are supposed to find a coal wain and mine it. However map being procedural generated, there is no way to tell where will you find it. And from viewer perspective, the game is very very dark. The moment you step away from light and without torch, it just pitch black in all those corridors. Which is sad because a) can't help you with if you missed some coal spots on the way and b) all the nice architectural details of the surrounding are lost. Still, even if I do not see what you can see, I very much enjoy listening to how you approach the game! Keep it up!

Did I miss the rest of the metal stockpile mission?

Enjoying the series, any extra muznukuns you pick up after you put the required amount in are useless and take up backpack space. Make sure you complete the songs at statues to get a buff.

I love your love for this game !!!! When you were singing at Durin's statue you did not stay to the end. Go and redo that. In daylight you will see a spot that already has the repair smithy. As for coal. Go back to where you saw the bear. IF you hug the wall go down to the next wooden platform and up high is a large coal deposit. I used that spot as a little refuge !!! Keep looking up where your house is. Also you have two other cranberry mounds you missed !!! Keep it up you are having soo much fun I can see !!!

Rings of Power is an awful show, even if it was not based in LotR. Amateur stuff.

Build wooden platforms to traverse on the walls to get past the blue darkness and Check the game's keymap, some very useful tools.

So great to see someone taking their time for a change. Got my sub mate. Too many rush through the game like there is a time limit or something and miss stuff! However I'd pop back home a few times to drop stuff off. Hate leaving stuff behind 😆

I've never played this game, but if it's like most crafting games there is probably a wood-to-coal resource chain somewhere. Have you checked your creating station recipes?

Never leave your guns unloaded. Ironside was lucky that it wasn't a bear after him while he fumbled with his gun. Make a gun? LOAD IT! Finished shooting? RELOAD IT.

Don't forget to feed your animals. They have 2 food slots. Look at the foods available to see what the best combination is. There is biome specific animal feed as well.

Don't make more volatile substance than you need at the time - it goes off, so you lose the materials.

I would advise against converting all your exotics into ren. Just convert how many you need to for your purchase when you are buying. There are so many good items that need exotics.

James Alof is a great watch, he's just north of where I live, and he is part of the reason why I love playing Icarus, and other survivor games where you can build a homestead. Check out My Self Reliance with Shawn James, he also is just north of me as well. Love your playthrough, you are the reason i picked up this game again and started over. keep it up!
