Great review. Hawaii has tons of great agricultural land that is underused now that the large commercial sugar cane and pineapple plantations have closed. It's really great to see the shift to high-value products like coffee, cacao and now distilled spirits. We've got a couple of rhum agricole businesses, Koloa on Kauai and Ko Hana here on Oahu, but this is the first time I've heard of Waikulu and their distilado. I hope they pick up a distributor here in Honolulu since I don't get to Maui that often. I'd love to try it!
Another great video Brad! I am enjoying the research I've been doing finding my favorite NOM! 😏👍🏼
Thanks I wish I had one fav NOM! I have so many lol. What is your fav so far?
How deep do the wells have to be to be considered deep well water?
This well is 150 meters underground or 492 foot deep.
Terralta?
Yep
@ is that the G4?
@@claybob Yes the one in the middle is a G4 Tequila Blanco De Madera Lot 3 2024 Release. All of these are made at 1579.
Terralta Blanco is an Brand made at the same Distillery as G4
Another great review! Keep 'em coming Brad!👍🏼
Thanks my friend
nice reviews.would the Blanco be your regular sipper if they are readily available?
It would be in the rotation that’s for sure! And when I’m feeling like a good Anejo I would pick theirs up as well!
@@Tastingtequilawithbrad ,where does this Blanco be if, you only had top 5 on your list or would it make the top 5? sorry, for being a pain.
@@guest9922 LOL i don't know that I cold make it with just a top 5. If you it was easy to get and less expensive it would defiantly be in my top 10. I have so many Blanco's that I really enjoy and it changes from week to week. It is a solid Blanco.
Yeyo is absolute GAS. Had both of these and neither lasted long lol.
They are so good
Grandson, not great grandson
Yep my bad sorry I knew that
I’d like to know how the Anejo is.
Review coming soon!
Wow, I'd love to see a 600 pound agave! 😲 That's crazy! Great video Brad and I'm looking forward to your review! 👍🏼
Their agave’s were amazingly huge.
Thought you would like it!!
Have you been there?
Pancho Villa (Villa (Spanish) pronounce Bi-Ya!), Love this expression!
It is amazing
Waikulu has been on my list for over a year but I haven’t figured out how to get it in Texas. I have family planning to visit Hawai’i so fortunately I can have them bring me back a bottle. (Should’ve picked a better song for this video)
Sorry you didn't like the song. Waikulu is pretty cool. I did an interview with the owner that I will get posted asap. I also have some more videos and Pictures of the grounds that i will pos tin the interview video.
great video, love introducing friends to great tequila.

Where in cabo do you find your tequila? Going in a couple weeks the only good spot I know of is the Cellar which has great stuff
I found some of the things that I bought at tequila town on the Square in Cabo! They had a good selection but they are a little pricey
@ I will take a look thanks!
@@Matt_Christiansen No problem and Good Luck!!
Another amazing interview Brad! Great info
Much appreciated!

Another great episode introducing me to a new brand to add to my wishlist! 👍🏼
Thanks my friend!!
Another great video! I purchased a Dule Vida 100 proof when I was just getting back into tequila. I liked it but really didn't know what I was tasting. Since high proofs have been on my radar I haven't stumbled across many bottles but my interest is rising and videos like this helps. 👍🏼
@@jj903hunter thanks!! High proofs rock!! So much agave flavor
⬆️ Wow BACON? 👀 That sounds great! 😁 Another great video Brad! 👊🏼
Thanks!! it is crazy
Tried it,not my profile I’m looking.I don’t mind the smoky.but, I was getting lots of cinnamon and Bacon taste. I’m sure lots if not, most people like em..
It is a bit different. Wow Bacon I did not get that. I am going back to it to see if I do now.
Heard two truck loads of this tequila were hijacked earlier this month. They had a batch of extra anejo on them. Still unaccounted for.
That is what i have heard as well.
Brad great job loved it, Arturo some of the best tequila out there, loving it as well!
Thanks. He is awesome!!
Another great video! Keep 'em coming Brad! 👊🏼

Love Lost Lore and Arturo is the man!
@@hamesb yes he is and he was so gracious to spend some time with me I’m glad I got to share his information!
Super cool to hear the back story..
Thanks!! The story behind the Brand Is always cool
Great video! Agave is harvested at less than 7 years now. Most is 5 years old maximum
Thank you so much for the compliment and for watching! You’re absolutely right that many agave plants are being harvested younger these days. From what I've learned, the age indicated often doesn’t include the time before the clone is taken from the mother plant-it only counts the time after it’s planted in the field. For example, when we were in Tequila, we saw a field being planted with 2-year-old agave plants, which I was told is quite common. Typically, they're between 2 and 3 years old at the time of planting.
2023 Ocho is so much better than the 24. I bought 6 bottles of the 23 and will stick with just the one 2024 bottle of Ocho. Wasn't feeling it. I think the Lalo is so good but that just comes down to person personal preference. The 23 Ocho is my all time favorite high proof but I think the Lalo is special especially at the price point.
Wow I need to try to find some 2023!! Thanks for commenting!!
@@Tastingtequilawithbrad I was lucky to get the bottles of the 23 i got. There going for pretty big money now but worth a bottle. The nose is completely different. The taste is much easier on the palate. I got alot of alcohol burn on the Ocho 24 where the Lalo High Proof was soft on the palate. I was blown away how well the Lalo hides the high abv.
@ Lalo does a great job. My eyes are wide open to find a Ocho 23!
I wasnt crazy about the 2024 Puntas until I went back to it a month later and the heat mellowed out and the mouthfeel got much more viscous. I'd say its pretty close to the 2023 release for me. 2021 Puntas, Lote100B, Lote 20S and Calle Criollo are my favorite blancos of all time. I didn't care much for the 11 brix though.
@@alberthan3759 That’s a great lineup of favorites! It’s interesting how time can really change your perspective on a bottle-I've had similar experiences where something that didn’t wow me initially completely won me over later. I haven’t tried the 21 or 23 Puntas or the 11 Brix either, but I’ve heard mixed things about the 11 Brix. Blind tastings definitely keep things interesting since what stands out in the moment can surprise you. The 2024 Puntas is growing on me too, especially as the heat settles and that texture develops. Totally agree that Calle Criollo is in a league of its own-it’s such a standout!
Thanks for the video, Yeyo is a fantastic brand as you know. Of the two Jovens I lean towards the “Sol”, love the apple, cinnamon, and spice. Wonderful nose, lovely sipper. Since its release I think I am on my 5th or 6th bottle, simply amazing and truly unique !
I love the than as well
Nice show, I can't find Lalo high proof, thanks!
@@m.a.cm.a.c9308 thanks. I found it at total wine. You can get it from the LALO web site!
Good afternoon Brad, I was thinking you going to like the number two(2) because of its long finish. then of course Ocho as you described has floral components to it..I tried both Ocho Puntas and Yeyo hp.I also prefer Ocho Puntas .my shipments for Lalo hp is coming this week .btw, you mentioned you know which one is which but, lol forgot to tell us..(no Biggie) and Best of Luck on your Marathon and Thank you.
Sorry I thought I lined them up Ocho then Yeyo and the Lalo.
@@Tastingtequilawithbrad , I meant guessing them first before looking whats in the Notes..is all.
@@guest9922oh I was going to guess but I didn’t . I thought I knew but then I thought I would be wrong! lol
Love a good blind tasting! I would love to see more with the different expressions and maybe even more competitors in each. Keep the great content coming brother and good luck in the marathon! 👍🏼
