Very impressive fog lights!!! These are going to make great high beams. Being driven by Morimoto XB 6,000k H11 bulb on a Five5 ballast
IS350 Color Flicker
มุมมอง 1.1K10 ปีที่แล้ว
As anyone who has attempted this will know... getting a decent cutoff with good light output from a 2006-2010 stock Lexus IS350 projector is extremely difficult. Getting the projector to produce color flicker; well, that's asking the impossible! It seems I've found a fairly easy solution that accomplishes all three (good light output, sharp cut off with flicker!). 1.) STI-R clear lens upgrade f...
Lexus IS350 Blue LED Needle Swap
มุมมอง 8K11 ปีที่แล้ว
Swapped the LEDs in my speedometer and tachometer needles out to blue because the white ones were burning out... Turned out looking good; like the ISF! Here's a link to the DIY I followed on ClubLexus: www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/579160-diy-how-to-swap-cluster-lights-inlcuding-needles.html
2006 Lexus IS350 LED DRLs with Blue Halos
มุมมอง 6K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Advanced Automotive Concepts (ACC) Blue Halos with 6000K white DRL LED fog lights and running light strips from Oznium. The original color of the plastic inside the headlights was silver and they were painted black with a high glossy plastic paint to make the lights stand out more. White LED ring power switch was also from Oznium. Headlamps are 6,000K HID. This looks like it would have been a g...
2006 Lexus IS350 with blue CCFL halos from AAC
มุมมอง 90412 ปีที่แล้ว
Check out my Halos from Advanced Automotive Concepts. All and all, a lengthy but not difficult install. They are wired to a relay switch so they can be turned on and off independently from the parking or DRLs. The lenses are a bit foggy from the prior owner's neglect, not from the project. I'll clean these up with some Megular's Plastic X next weekend and have them looking brand new! Let me kno...
Hi. Related to the metalic noise you had in the is250, did you fix it?
Can you swap 2016 GS350 fsport cluster into 2015 GS350 fsport ?
How do I change the pointer to the LED? What kind of LED lights are required?
what kind of kit/harness did you use? did you relocate the stock to maintain hvac?
How did you swap the needles, mine are burned out
what size are the bulbs?
Damn.. Nice. Are these led
6K HID Morimoto XB35 (www.theretrofitsource.com/components/bulbs/morimoto-xb35-h11-bulbs.html#.VIuoL8Z3fW0)
www.automotivelightstore.com/2006-09lexusis250is350oraclehalokit.aspx Are these the ones you purchased? I have a 2010, do you happen to know if they fit?
Yep; those are the ones. I actually found something I like a better though; since your going with white colored ones, you should check these out www.theretrofitsource.com/led-lighting/morimoto-xbaled-angel-eyes.html#.U5fkrRZ3fW0 These are about a 1/4th of the price, are brighter and easier to work with as they don't require a high voltage inverter. The light is just a uniform when lit and this newly revised version doesn't have the phosphorus yellow look when unlit. Just picked up a set of these for my new build and I'm looking forward to getting them installed.
LexManG81 Oh ok! Are these the similar devices you used? I was under the impression from the $199 item wasn't just the halo circles, but the housing attached to the halo pieces. Does that make senes? So, these two items, as far as the installation goes, are identical? Why the price difference and why did you change them to these compared to the others? Thank you for your feedback and time!
LexManG81 Which ones did you purchase? Which "mm"?
90 MM is what you want. There are a few ways they can be installed (glued to the OEM projector shroud; or, over the top of the upper shroud as the CCFL rings in this video are installed.)
LexManG81 Cool! Thanks bro! I'm going to look into it and get mine on order as well! Looks super clean!
Pretty nice work.
did you do that by yourself or have some auto body shop doing it ?
Nope, did it all myself.
Any DIY on what you did
Put a link to a DIY in the description
I put a link to the DIY I used in the description. This was a difficult mod, it takes lots of patience, a steady hand and great soldiering iron skills as the LEDs are about a millimeter long and mounted sideways on the needle.
Looks good. Do u have a DIY for it?
I have a few times, and mine were defective so they're making me buy a new set.
I did. If you've never removed the front bumper of the car and/or completed a headlight retrofit, I would recommend checking out a few ClubLexus threads that demonstrate how to do it and the pitfalls to avoid!
thanks. did you install these yourself?
The switch is optional; but if you don't use one, make sure to wire it to something that is only on with the vehicle... Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to turn them off when the vehicle isn't on. My recommendation would be the positive wire from the cigarette lighter. This way, the halos are only on when the car is on and you have the ability to turn them off for whatever reason.
so i got these, but you added a switch. does it only work with a switch ?
I put a link to the LED Halo in the description above. The kit is around $50.00
It's not a kit,but but if your looking for the cheapest possible route, go LED over CCFL. The Retrofit Source makes a good LED Angel eye/Halo product IMO. I actually replaced the LED Strips in this video with strips from NTE and relocated them to the bottom of the headlight, it looks more like the factory ISx.50's with LED DRLS.
is that a kit? I have an 07'.. desperately looking for an affordable halo/led upgrade...
thank you !
I couldn't reply with a link embedded in a comment so I added it to the description above; hope that helps!
can you give me a link to where you bought these from ?
