CHAINSAW CARVING SWAMP THING!
มุมมอง 145ปีที่แล้ว
Thought outside the box on this one! About 60% chainsaw, 25% power carve and 15% paint, bark, lighting and spray foam for vines ! With Halloween around the corner this guy will make a nice addition to the swamp by the trail leading to the sawmill.
CARVING YODA & GROGU
มุมมอง 159ปีที่แล้ว
All of us Star Wars nerds like to think Yoda & Grogu had at very least met before. Maybe Yoda even trained Grogu at some point. Maybe Yoda was Grogu's father??? The theories and what if's are endless. So when I was asked to carve Grogu for a friend I decided to make her a one of a kind original and add Yoda to the carve. Carved from Cottonwood and weighing in at around 60lbs here's my interpret...

CHAINSAW CARVING A SHARK!
มุมมอง 311ปีที่แล้ว
Carved this 8ft shark (Bruce) from a fallen willow tree. Fun Memorial Day project to live in the pond at the sawmill. A reminder that you never know what lies beneath the surface! BTW, Bruce was the name of the mechanical shark in JAWS.

I CARVED A TAUNTAUN! TIME LAPSE
มุมมอง 345ปีที่แล้ว
I carved a life-size Tauntaun! Why? Where to begin. Let’s start with the summer of 1977. I was 9. A movie called Star Wars changed my life forever. Turned me into a dreamer…. and was a big reason for my creativity. Forty plus years later and I still can’t get enough Star Wars. The difference is that I am now able to bring my love for the franchise to life through my carvings. The original trilo...

NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR VIENNA CHAINSAW CARVER
Did that chain actually cut? Everytime that stone jumped out of the tooth or jumped off the raker, you were smacking the tooth and knocking the edge off it.
@@toddscholze6168 sure did
This for sale?
Great video I'm going to try it thanks
Very cool! I just subbed after watching your tips series. I can't believe you have less than a 1,000 subs but I'm sure others will find you soon! 🪵
That's a great tip!
I just started using a rotary tool and use this thing made by EzzDoo, basically a Dremel and I will say its A LOT faster than even using those 2 n 1 sharpeners which is what Ive used, but with the diamond coated bits they provided I dont think it gets them as sharp as hand filing but again a lot faster. It would take me about 15 minutes or so on a 25" bar using one of those 2 n 1 sharpeners and this new rotary tool took that down to about 5 minutes using it for the first time yesterday. Im going to try different stone bits and see what I get but so far I like it!
Great video
Great tips on using wooden beads for eye carving! I love how you emphasized the importance of the eyes in a carving-they really do bring the piece to life. I never thought about using beads as a training tool; I can’t wait to try that out! Have you experimented with different finishes on the beads to match various wood types? Happy carving!
Thank You
Great video! I love how you explained the reasons for burning projects, especially getting rid of those pesky fuzzies and speeding up the drying process. It's super helpful to know about the different types of torches and safety precautions. Have you ever tried using a heat gun instead? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that option!
Another incredible piece, I'm honored to display in my home. Thank you so much. I look forward to seeing the other amazing work you do!
My pleasure!
Nice Work, Man 👏👏👏
❤❤❤❤❤
That's a lot of sawdust
Trying to get into carving, tips for how to do it full time?
👍thanks! This could be very helpful.
Where is thelink for the jig?
Siiick! Love your style brother
Thank you!
Thanks
❤ Top 😊😊❤
You need to use a depth gage tool to guide you on how deep to file the rakers.
Yeah buddy
BIG BUTT
thankyou so much!
Great tips thank you 👍
All these guys make the coolest shit. These dudes are straight up first class artists.
Use a raker guide instead of guessing
What speed number do you use on your sharpening tool? Mine has 6 speed settings and I’ve been using number 3
Pretty special my friend!
Love these guys! I think I'll head out back and give 'em a go this afternoon! :) Happy Holidaze!!
shivering those timbers.. I am a newbie to the chainsaw art..And your damn good.. Im what you would call a stacker type artist.. Ive always added and added and formed with sanders..So taking from something to create something is ass backwards to my entire being lol.. But I'm feeling confident lol..Im in the canton/Akron area and would love to watch you work, Lend a hand if I could

The new centerpiece of my home. Incredible craftsmanship, I’m honored to own something so unique. Thank you
It was a fun carve brother. Glad you like it.
THAT was awesome...
Thank you
And you can use the canola oil for seasoning your cast iron cookware too!
Booooooooooooo!!!! Pretty awesome stuff!!!
Waytac is a critical additive to bar oil. Unless you're carving on white wood, be sure your bar oil contains waytac to extend the life of your bars and chains.
Waytac will also reduce slinging and keeps the oil where is belongs, on the bars and chains
Hi , sounds great but i cant find it anywhere? Is if made by a specific brand? Many thanks
