KWS was influenced just as much by Hendrix and Muddy Waters as he was SRV. Obviously his style is very similar but SFW...he was only one of the most gifted guitar players to ever walk the planet. I think KWS has done a lot more dynamic work as he's grown older and his playing is all feel and self taught which gives him a unique sound.

This may be first performance ive seen of kws that i actually REALLY like....i like others but here he doesnt come off as so much a SRV clone. Hes got a different flow happening which sounds different. Most of the time when i lisyen to him i just hear srv. Thisvwad refreshing

well this is a GREAT performance and Kenny was just too good for the others in the bunch... (I saw other vids from the same event). It seems to me he was the one (with Eric Johnson) to have caught the spirit and the real sound of Jimi's music. No John Mayer or Satriani can even get close to that...Thank you for posting!

I missed my chances of seeing Zakk 3 times. He was in the guitar shop i usually go to the day before the ozzy concert, which i missed. Then when i went to Portland for vacation he was playing there with BLS but i had no way of getting there. Finally got to see them with 2cents(an amazing band) Clutch and COB down in Halifax though and made sure I was good and deaf:), sat out 6 hours beside there tour busses in line for the show

Shit, I was at the Ozzfest in Camden NJ and they stopped using the second stage after Drowning Pool because of the rain. BLS didn't get to play. It sucked.
