I also hunt in western Manitoba and it was a lot tougher year do to the warm temperatures and high winds we saw a lot more night time movement but the bucks we did see were often more mature .and not as many younger deer

A couple years back in the spring while looking for spots to put up deer stands I was going through some pretty thick brush when I heard what sounded like something scraping the bark on a tree. About 25 yards ahead of me I see 2 little black fur balls scampering up a big pine tree. I immediately pulled my 9mil out of the holster and slowly started backing up. I never did hear or see the sow and was quite happy about that. I know it's all about shot placement and a 30-30 will get the job done but the times I have bear hunted I always have liked using something with a bit more firepower.

One thing I find about hunting videos , guy's Love to film and whisper ?? Thinking the audience understands what your saying . At my age hearing is not so Great anymore ..... TH-cams CC is beyond any Good , Save your whispers and just do voice overs IMHO ... Just saying...

Haha just fyi with that drone (was just up there and had same issue with the mavic 2), you have to click land on the controller, grab it and then flip it upside down and it auto shuts off. If you don't click land the rotors keep going even if you flip it upside down.

Make your figure 8s and or circles wider and really hang the corners. They are big fish they need room to turn. Think of them like a school bus or a truck. Can’t turn on a dime. Great video otherwise some sweet shots! I grew up fishing around Nestor and now fish the angle/big narrows

Must’ve been past split rock out towards the big water to the west. That’s a crazy hike from nestor, that’s ballsy as hell. My dad’s buddy owns a small island at the east end of wolf island. Gotta be careful camping on islands on lake of the woods, can get in a ton of trouble since you can only camp in designated camping areas

That sucks that happened but could of been worse !! Keep us posted what the machinic says and don't run around LOTW without a kicker 😉
